Hello everyone :)

Im having a great problem with my blu ray burner and its driving me crazy. For some reason my burner
is having a real hard time burning blu rays. I have tried ImgBurn and DVDFab's VSO burning engine,
with different writing speeds (2x, 4x, 6x, Max, Recommended). I have managed to burn few, but the
rest just fails. I dunno if its the burner or the media Im using. However, when burning DVDs it works perfect.
The drive reads all kind of media perfect, its just when burning BD-R.
My drive is an ASUS BW-12b1st connected to a 3Gb port in my ASUS P8Z77-v PRO Motherboard and
the media is Verbatim 25Gb 6x -> Verbatim 25GB 6X BD-R 25 Packs Spindle Disc Model ...

This is really frustrating, any help will be appreciated :)

Full PC Specs:
ASUS P8Z77-V PRO Mobo

Corsair Vengeance 4x4Gb 1866MHz RAM

You shouldn't be having that much trouble. I can burn bluray disc after bluray disk, and every one comes out perfect. It's either the stack of discs you have, or the burner itself. Only way to be sure is get another spindle of blurays, and test. If you still keep getting coasters, return the drive. If not, return the first spindle. Simple!

Yes, I know, it's an expensive way to find out. I started out with LTH discs first, they cost $20can for 20, and they burn at a max of 6x. HTL discs can burn at upto or over 12x, but cost a lot more. I've used a full spindle of these, they are LTH discs, and they work perfect: http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=67655&vpn=97344&manufacture=VERBATIM
You'll actually see my review on that page, I go under CamelJock.....

I have read in some forums that those verbatims LTH tend to give trouble, but I haven't test them yet. Are they good to you ?? No problems at all ?
Maybe I'll give em a try
