Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
I dont understand the call to RMA the card. AMD drivers are just poor.

Ive been on 22.7.1 and had all the crashes, blackscreens and 'driver recoveries' - 22.6.1 has its own issues but is less in your face problematic than 22.7.1.

I updated to 22.7.1 through adrenalin then rolled it back 5mins later when i found HW acceleration with chrome was completely broken and running the mouse cursor over thumbnails on YT would cause everything to lag, freeze up, stutter and blackscreen.
yet i haven't experienced a single issues mentioned and i tried to reproduce them (although my usual browser is Opera GX, which is based of Chromium, i did test it on chrome and others ) but none to avail.
using 22.7.1 also (not only for browsing or watching videos) no lag on running the mouse cursor on thumbnails either

i had way more drivers issues with Nvidia than AMD througout the years ... i get it, it's situational but to me Nvidia driver are poor and ATI/AMDs are good  (well at least Nvidia drivers are better than Intel ... recently)

either i am extremely lucky or the issue lies elsewhere (although i would recommend to ditch Chrome for something else )

Have anyone tried the modded drivers by Amernime Zone?

Link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/amernimezone/
interesting, that remind me of old days modded drivers  might try them just for fun

Not sure... According to reddit, AMD has a habit of pulling the old drivers when newer ones are released. Unfortunately im not able to substantiate this claim as i have been through too much reddit to dig through to find the comment i read. Its 100% on the AMDHelp subreddit somewhere.
Except 22.7.1 are beta drivers as per amd currently and they got 22.5.1 as whql but 22.6.1 are not listed. Which leads me to believe they reverted back to 22.5.1 as 22.6.1 may be problematic as some are saying.

Each to their own i guess. I jumped on the green train when gtx680s came out then jumped off just recently. Went through 3 or 4 different generations of Nvidia cards and never had an issue.

Quite a few complaints about 22.7.1 on the reddit page I linked so it's not really an isolated issue

I been jumping around myself, had GTX 970, 1070, 1080Ti. Then sold my GTX 1080 Ti and broght a Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT everything went well no issues driver wise on both teams.

Traded my RX 5700 XT to a AMD Radeon RX 6800 Reference still no issue with AMD's drivers.

AMD might not be as fast as Nvidia when it comes to driver update, support and so on but they do a damn good job at least for me I am happy being back on RX 6800 XT even everyone I know expect maybe one is still on RX 5700 XT rest is Nvidia.

Yeah they bring support to the older AMD cards that can still actually run the features. I don't think AMD hold it back we can see that if FSR but it's more they might be afraid of releasing something that might not fully work even if they write it with big letter "MIGHT NOT WORK" people still would blame them for things that don't work so that's why I think the Amerninezone's drivers are a good alternative.

tested, no differences (aside a better install frontend  ) for me at least :)

yeah, tho i still think the issue are elsewhere ... why for me it is smooth sailing, but not for others ... i am not at the point of saying "it's PEBCAK" tho  but what make my configuration not having these issues, even if i reproduce all parameter to provoke it? couldn't it be something else, hardware or software, that does not agree with the whole setup?

my 1070 was running 3 release prior to the latest  i guess i was the isolated issue for green team (or was i ... imho "AMD driver BAD!" is overrated since quite long now ... and "Nvidia driver BEST!" either )

I don't know anything about MSI graphics card marketing but yah, the current ASUS Dual RX 6600 is a 2.5 slot card according to ASUS's corporate website. Impressively porcine for a consumer targeted graphics card!
Asus dual has superb cooling vs other budget models. The dual weighs +/- 1000g vs 500-700g on budget options from Palit, MSI etc.

You have a RX 6000 series card so you do get all the features that are avalible including some DX fixes and so on which ain't avalible for RX 500 series and below but actually do work.

AMD's Noise Suppression do work on various older than RX 6000 series GPU's it's only avalible for them in the Amernime Zone modded drivers but they do state might not work which is fine because that's not lie and that could be what AMD doesn't want blame for even writing might not work and people read as might not work and then they have issues.

I got rid of 22.6.1 drivers cause' taking screenshots in game would result in only 1% of the graphics recovering after it... also had an issue that my mouse was frozen on the screen after exiting the game.
Today, tried the 22.7.1 on my RX 6800 XT & working perfectly on all fronts. :)

every now and then the display is lost then comes back with the error that the drivers crashed (latest drivers). When I am also doing such work, I will be watching youtube on another monitor and it will auto adjust the video quality to the lowest for some reason.
I had the exact same problem, reseating the card and cleaning the slot and card pins did the trick.

Yeah, so far after removing them for 22.7.1 I haven't experienced same issues (yet).

I just think 22.6.1 were botched drivers hence why AMD doesn't have it for download off of their site anymore.

Maybe if I search harder I will find them but when doing driver selection and recommended for RX 6600, it seems fairly odd that 22.5.1 is recommended (when it initially was 22.6.1 when I first downloaded) and then 22.6.1 not listed.

It isn't like I am lying in what I am saying. But maybe they didn't remove them but I just dont see them and thus I assumed which isn't good but oh well.

hmm, and if you try RX 6600 non xt? What does it give you then?

I find it interesting cause I am looking at RX 6600 xt and I dont get 22.6.1 listed either

Regardless, seems they are shit drivers and replacing them with the pro seem to have resolved my issue. So the rest of this debate is pointless other than what I am seeing here. Thanks to everyone who suggested the Pro drivers.

hmm, and if you try RX 6600 non xt? What does it give you then?

I find it interesting cause I am looking at RX 6600 xt and I dont get 22.6.1 listed either

Regardless, seems they are shit drivers and replacing them with the pro seem to have resolved my issue. So the rest of this debate is pointless other than what I am seeing here. Thanks to everyone who suggested the Pro drivers.

Pros are stable release drivers. Also not everyone experiences the same exact problems.

Guys, while I am not 100% sure it can help with this particular issue (issues??), please note latest August 2022 NEW drivers are finally out! :)
I am not one of those lucky/rich enough to own any of those newer AMD Radeon cards, my newest is a RX 480 but you might want to check those out.

(Assuming of course the issue is not listed in the "Issues NOT fixed" i.e. "Known Issues" list of the new drivers version.)
