I just purchased an Asus G51VX gaming laptop and my headphone jacks aren't working! I reformatted the computer with Windows 7 Enterprise too and now it still doesn't work. The sound plays through my laptop speakers but when I plug anything into the headphone jack, it still plays through the laptop speakers. I have already run Windows Update (no more updates found), I have updated my Drivers via the Asus website, even reinstalled everything that came on their driver-utility disk so now it has a bunch of crap ware. I have tried plugging in different speakers and headsets and still no cigar. The Realtek sound manager also doesn't show that it's detecting any of the jacks when I plug stuff in... could it be the headphone jacks are busted? Please say no guys!

Take it back to the store you got it from. If they dont take it, call Asus, they are great with support.
