Hey all, hope someone out there might be able to help with this - I have an ASUS P8Q77-M mobo lying round doing nothing and was hoping to chuck a 4C/8T Xeon into it to turn it into an unRAID server.
My problem is that the Xeon I can get my hands on is the E3-1240 v2 but the mobo support list only lists the E3-1230, E3-1230 v2 and the E3-1245 v2 as supported from the Xeon product line so the question is - would the mobo support the 1240 v2 as the only diff between it and the 1230 v2 is 0.1GHz, and between it and the 1245 v2 is integrated graphics?
Hope someone can help, thanks in advance all!
