just read the part about how the bios are not able to be used with conroe.. wtf?

does this apply to boards shipped out now?

Newer boards should work with conroe. You can update the bios to support conroe but you'll need a non conroe 775 processor to do it.

meh.. i hope it works.. I was going to spend my next paycheck on an E6400 or something.. guess ill buy a crap celeron, flash the bios, and then try to remove the IHS on that, and sell on ebay.

The motherboard is now on backorder again, but I've spotted what I think is a better, more stable motherboard, that is $50 more than the P5WDH

$340. in stock(need it before school because I wont have ANY time to set it up once school starts. Would you guys recommend this board?

Reviews say it hits 420MHz on default voltage, and the vMCH supposedly goes higher.

I may buy. I got some extra $ for it.
