iam newbie here
maybe ist silly question, but its make me cunfused,
i was read article in
http://www.tweaktown.com/pressrelea...ofessional_workstation_motherboard/index.html

idont understan this

"SLI and CrossFireX on Demand"

"To provide customers with outstanding imagery, the P6T WS Professional comes equipped with built-in the SLI/CrossFireX on Demand technology. This revolutionary technology will now allow users to enjoy either SLI™ technology or CrossFireX™ support on the same motherboard. This means that users will be able to install up to three 3-Way SLI-capable graphics cards and retain the flexibility to run a CrossFireX setup instead of an SLI one. Whichever route they choose, users are guaranteed mind-boggling graphics performance for improved work efficiency."

i was read in others forum before that be imposible tu run crosfire and SLI in same board,
i dont know about the detail,
please...
anyone please explain this for me,iam blind about this technologies.
i will be eternally grateful!

up to this date there have been a couple of motherboards thet do allow both Crossfire and SLI on the same chipset. With the release of the new X58 chipsets, it is stated that both can and will be able to be run.

well as an example I had an ABIT that was launced with the promise of running both on a 975X chipset. of course crossfire worked fine, but with a hacked driver a was able to run 7600's in SLI. now with motherboards like the Skulltrail, If I remember right it was designed to do both without hacked drivers. Not exactly my cup of tea here.

This states that Nvidia will allow , after submission of the chipset design, the licensing to run SLI and their drivers will be written to allow it. Lets just hope that Nvidia doesnt pull out of a promise like they did on my old ABIT.

Welcome to TPU Krisna ! :toast:

Some of the new X58 boards are supposed to support both.
Keep an eye on the manufacturers specification as to what they will actually do.
Also, keep an eye on the reviews before purchasing one to make sure they perform as stated.

They are so new that you really should wait to see what happens with the hardware (unless you have Tpuitis and must have the latest stuff now :D )
