We all know that now the Intel X58 chipset is the best performance one, comes with the Intel Core i7/i9 CPU and tri-channel memories supported,
most of the powerusers will choose the X58 chipset as their platform.

For the USB3.0 and SATA 6Gbps interface, now we can only see on the P55 platfrom, but now ASUS launch the latest MB: ASUS P6X58D Premium, added the USB3.0 and SATA 6Gbps on it, and support the 4GBx6 = 24GB memory capacity, also supports the 6 Core/12HT, 32nm Westmere Gulftown on 2010, Q1....

The package, support USB3.0 and SATA 6Gbps interface, of course the Windows 7 Ready.

All features listed here.

USB3.0 is 10x faster than USB2.0 in spec., P6X58D Premium got them.

3 Years Warranty...good enough...

Inner page...multi-language of course....

4 Key features come with the P6X58D Premium.

Accessories, SLI 3-way bridge card is my favorite...(wait for the NV GT300...haha...)

Cables...in the end of the 2009, ASUS use the high quality black SATA cable for whole series.

Hello my girl...

All details handled very well...

Cool Xtreme Phase Logo on the heatsink...

The back panel...Blue one is the USB3.0...no questions...CMOS is here too...
and you can see the PS/2...is back...for the crazy overclocker...

Close Look..

NEC D72020 USB 3.0 Controller...

PCI Slot x 2 , PCI-E 16x x 3 , PCI-E 1x x 1...Multi-VGA cards are OK...

USB2.0 x 4 , 1394a x 1 , Audio x 1, also left SATA Port x2 in the bottom...

You know...white one is the SATA3 ports...

SATA 6Gbps provided by Marvell 9123 chip, but not support the RAID function.

3 Phase Power Memory DIMM...

DRAM LED Light, for the debug on POST screen.

Actually you can consider the ASUS P6X58D Premium for your next MB, for the powerusers, if you already have the X58 MB, you can buy a sub-card for the USB3.0 and SATA 6Gbps function, but if you would like to get them together, this MB will not make you down. Although we can not see the beneit from the SATA 6Gbps now, but in the near future, the SSD will surely release the performance of the SATA 6Gbps interface to another level...

We will test the P6X58D Premium in the next article...stay tune and we will test the USB3.0/SATA 6Gbps for you guys...
