ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the Huracan (G21), a compact gaming desktop powered by up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics for extraordinary gaming. The Huracan has a unique magnetically-secured side cover that sets it apart from other gaming desktops. This foldable side cover can be opened to improve airflow into the system, and activate Aura lighting effects. The extra airflow provides the cooling needed for its high-performance components, so gamers can play the latest games at their most extreme settings.

Open up for More Performance
Opening the patented magnetically-secured side cover increases airflow into the system for better cooling. The sensors also activate the integrated Aura lighting effects. To ensure the very best gaming performance, the Huracan is powered by up to the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor with up to 32GB of DDR4 2666MHz memory, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics. The Huracan is configurable up to a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD and a 2TB HDD; and up to a 2TB HDD with Intel Optane Memory technology is also available. Intel Optane enables SSD-like performance from a large HDD, accelerating overall system performance and improving responsiveness for a blazing-fast computing experience.

Easy-Upgrade Design
The compact 13-liter chassis of the Huracan incorporates elements inspired by cyber-warrior and cyberpunk themes, resulting in an aggressive, angular design with sharp creases to symbolize a warrior's battle scars. Sliding side panels make it easy to maintain and upgrade key components, allowing gamers to upgrade to faster and larger capacity storage drives, graphics card, and memory to keep the Huracan up to date. In addition, the Huracan has a hot-swap 2.5-inch SSD bay that allows the user to take out and replace the drive in seconds.

Synchronized Aura Sync Lighting
Customizable Aura lighting effects let gamers match the look and feel of the Huracan to the game currently being played, while Aura Sync technology lets them sync light effects with Aura Sync supported gaming mice, headsets, keyboards, monitors, and other peripherals to create a gaming setup with a consistent look and feel. Aura Sync provides up to nine preset lighting modes to choose from.

Incredibly Immersive Sound
A built-in ESS Sabre DAC and amplifier provides incredible 32-bit /384kHz audio and a sample rate that's 8X greater than CD quality, for richer and more detailed audio experiences. It provides low frequency sounds at louder volumes, and more detail on the higher end of the audio spectrum. It also offers a greater dynamic range (DNR) for richer and less distorted audio, as well as a higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) to get rid of annoying noise.

AVAILABILITY & PRICING
The ROG Huracan (G21) will be available in late Q2.

Yea, because one bigger brick inside the case saves a lot of space... LOL!

I like this system! It's different but stylish. It has everything a power user and gamer could want, including an optical drive and RGB. Very cool Asus! Very cool indeed.

Um, they wouldn't go on a desktop. They go on the floor behind the display or off to the side and out of the way.

They are easier to replace for the console player

Yeah, that too!
Systems like this are easy to maintain, upgradable and a joy to use, generally.

Well I put myself in their shoes, this is why this rig exists for one reason.

You ever had anything with a huge power brick? The one for my screen is annoying enough and it's not very big. These are 'Uge...

I have. One of the biggest was a Dell XPS which came with a 250w power brick. I bought an extra, one for my desk and one for on the go. The one for the desk sat on the floor and I run the cable up. I see what you're talking about though.

Silverstone's rvz01 / ftz01/rvz01E / ftz01E have internal psus and all in 14 liters... Rvz01 and ML08, 12 liters .. the newer E variants even have ATX power supplies..neither of them needs to have a window opened to get excellent thermals (i got myself an ftz01 and i'm loving it's noise and thermals)

Fractal node 202 is also a great example although it doesn't have Silverstone's thermals. I'm missing some more examples (dr. Zaber sentry et al)...
And thats in console format (not counting cube shaped cases like Silverstone sg13, 11 liters, or many smaller itx models like A4 sfx from dan cases or lazer3d's L27 that lose that console shape

I always liked those Asus and Alienware compact desktop designs..but..13 liters with 2 external power bricks? Too big of a sacrifice
