Guys.
First, I've been thinking about getting my ryzen 2700x some help with temps since I don't like heat and since my cpu and I are "best friends" it doesn't like heat either.
I've been reading about the liquid coolers and I came up with this on in the title. I don't know much about other water cooling solutions. I'm planning to get new 3900x processor and I wish the cooler I'll pick is enough for either of the two. I'd like some advice or recommendation in this regard. I know that the Ryujin is quite expensive. Maybe there's something similar that would be appropriate or equivalent for less?
Thanks for advice.

Guru3D did a review:

The Noctua NH-D15 (140mm) or a NH-U12A (120mm)with 100% memory clearance are also good options.

The AIO is overpriced, you're paying for the brand and the fancy OLED, I'd recommend the evga clc 280 or something similar:

Yeah. I've looked over that review and figured out it's a nice liquid cooler to have. I will look over the net a bit more and compare price to performance etc. but honestly it is a very good liquid cooler and I think I will go with it :)

Thanks.

Even on this review it's not actually looking any good, it's similar to the R1 ultimate air cooler and the Deepcool castle 240 RGB is performing within 2c at a far lower price point.

If you have that money to spend on a 240mm cooler, I'd go with a larger radiator size if possible or a high end air cooler such as the U12A which will basically perform similar to the asus aio.
Edit: Your case will support a 280mm radiator presuming you won't need the 5.25" bay installed.

I will have to take a look at this. I know the AIB products are overpriced but I'm in an urge of buying something :) It's like an itch I can't scratch and just go and buy stuff and feel better :D
Either way I will take a look and review some more. There really aren't good reviews around in the internet and TPU doesn't shine in that matter.
I'd like a performance to price to loudness chart. That would the best way to determine the best solution for me.

What about this one ?
Corsair Hydro H115i PRO 2 fan or 3 fan. It is cheaper than ROG Ryujin

Sounds like a mouthfull, there's always this however:

iirc, the Ryujin uses noctua industrial fans? Can't be certain, though you could always get a different cooler and with the money saved go for high end noctua fans and that'd drop noise levels vs stock fans.

So what I understand these are compatible with the fans and Noctua fans, from what you are saying, are the best there are?
Is that like a standard?
Yes there is "this" but not all of the common liquid coolers are listed. It is hard to compare products on dozen of websites separately.

Any cooler will be able to replace the stock fans from what I'm aware of, Noctua fans are known to be quite pricey but they are high end fans and are quite a lot of money for a fan, though given you can get say a Deepcool castle 240 rgb for significantly less, you can sell those fans included and go push-pull noctua (overkill) for much less than the Rog Ryujin and those noctua fans will run quieter than the stock fans that are included and move plenty of air if not you could always go for the U12A from noctua which includes 2 noctua fans as standard.

I'm really impressed with the Corsair h115i Platinum on the 3900X.... I tried the h100i platinum but it was too loud imo. The h115i is pretty quiet. It also can cool a 5ghz 9900k pretty well.

The Noctua NH-U12A has 2 of these fans included.

Isn't the U12A a air cooler? Or you are talking to get fans as this one have?

U12A is an air cooler, it's a very good air cooler:
I'd personally opt for a 280mm radiator or the castle rgb 240 and replace the fans with noctua such as the ones P4-630 linked here:

Well I'm thinking about the Ryujin as well due to the fact it is quiet. I would rather satay under 40dBA

What about fully custom block and all necessary stuff? Although I dont want to get my graphics under water loop since I will replace it anyway. But with custom you can modify it afterwards when I get the new card and time comes.

What about the best of both worlds? I run an eisbaer 360mm and I have my 1080ti ftw3 on a nexxos waterblock with it, It's probably best for a first time user, I've never had full custom loops or done them myself and the quick disconnects were dead easy or at least for me they were a no brainer - you could probably pickup an eisbaer LT or something really cheap.

Guys.
I've finally decided what will suit my pc best and got a Corsair Hydro 115i Pro. I haven't installed it yet. It came late. My question is: what is the most efficient way for it to work.
In the manual (yeah I've read it already) it says to mount it in the front of the chassis as intake. Is that the most efficient way? I thought I'd mount it on top exhausting the air out of the chassis. Of course that would leave my front fans as they are as intake. Maybe I should switch them and do it as the manual says?

Thanks

There are way too many variables with front mounting vs top mounting... My 9900k has a front mounted corsair h150i pro and the temps are great and my 2080 ti stays pretty cool 69-72c with an overclock.... On my 3900x i have an h115i platinum top mounted with a Titan Xp as the systems video card both have good temps in that scenario as well.

Both cases have excellent fans though the Phanteks Evolx with the 3900x has 3x 140mm intake and 3x 140mm exhaust. The Corsair 500D SE has 6 120mm push/pull intake and 3 120mm exhaust. my ambient is never over 24c.

I would just mount it however you prefer I doubt you'll have more than a margin of error difference in temps unless you have a really high ambient or really bad intake/exhaust fans.

As a user of a 240mm AIO on ryzen I can tell you that it's not worth it even if you get it for cheap. Actually, you may get more problems than benefits.
One of the most important ones is that a regular HSF tower gives you a nice extra breeze over your VRMs, which keeps it pretty cool in an enclosed case.
A good air cooling solution costs the same as a cheap AIO. This cheapness also adds more to the overall noise levels due to fan/pump quality.
I had to tweak the sh1t out of my fan profiles to make it quiet enough for daily use (Xigmatek Scylla 240mm), but I still get an occasional audible "farts" when pump changes speeds.
Maybe it's my unit, but I've observed similar thing recently on customer's PC with a 240mm Deepcool Captain.

Yes, I've purchased this already. I've researched a bit about this and it would seem it is pretty good and quiet. Anyway it is done and I will need to use. Since this is my first water cooling system I will need to try it out and look for any issues that I might consider avoiding with my next purchase or go custom liquid.
From my standpoint it would be better to install the 115i on top due to the fact my Fractal design G has fans in the front panel and they seem pretty good. I wanted to change the installation and mount the 115i in the front moving the front fans in the top of the chassis. Since it has been pointed out that it would not make a difference I will go 115i at the top. It would be easier since the front fans are already there and changing their location would be a struggle. I will see how it goes.

Thanks :)

BTW.
I understand the liquid is already there in the 115i right? If it is there, would it make any difference if I swap the liquid with something different? Is there any chance that there are custom coolants that perform better? Just like the thermal grease or thermal pads or it doesn't make any difference?
