ASUS VG279Q vs. KTC H27T22C in terms of panel quality?

I already own the ASUS. The price for the KTC is really low. It's 180Hz and 2K. I own an RTX 4060 though.

Which monitor's panel has better quality in terms of latency and color stuff? If it's panel is better than my ASUS and provides more natural coloring etc., I will upgrade.

They are both IPS monitors and edge lit so outside of panel variance when it comes to uniformity they will likely look very similar the main difference is the KTC will have much better pixel density.

This is the panel most likely being used on the KTC I would expect the Asus to be from AUO as well just 1080p.

My recommendation would be to buy from a place with a good return policy that way you can test it out yourself if you do not have access to stores with good return policy wait for something better with at least FALD.

I can return it without issue. However, I don't know what test I should do after buying it. If it's colors are more accurate than the ASUS, I would just go for it. I just don't want it to be worse that ASUS. I don't want to exchange pixel density over colors.

They both should have similar color I doubt one will be noticeably different the KTC is a wide color Gamut monitor so if it doesn't have a proper SRGB mode it will appear over saturated in some content. Most monitors these days are wide color Gamut regardless though but should have a picture mode to clamp the color space.

I believe your Asus is not a wide color gamut monitor but there are pros and cons for normal content and the KTC even if it supports HDR will be terrible at it.

Again at best you're looking at a side grade with better pixel density both monitors are edge lit ips and will come with the pros and cons of that technology.

You'd need to find someone with both monitors or test them yourself to know for sure and even then everyone has different preferences when it comes to color some like colors to pop way more others don't.

ASUS VG279Q
1920 x 1080

KTC H27T22C
2560 x 1440

for me that decides the issue

He already owns the Asus and is wondering if the KTC would be a noticeable upgrade. I would say outside of resolution I doubt it. I will say 1080p at 27 inches is pretty janky though but that's just me.
