Hello, i think i am having an issue with my new asus screen. I have had it since 29th of november and the total hrs on is 39.
The screen has already performed pixel clean 49 times! I thought it was every 8hrs, but when my screen goes to sleep is add's a cycle of pixel cleaning.
Is this bad for my screen? Is this a hardware issue? Or are there any other people with the same ish monitor with the same behavior?

Otherwise i am happy with the screen but just really worried that it is degradading faster then necessary.

I have added a pic of the screen osd.

Firmware is updated to mcm 104 and i have already did a factory reset in the osd.

There is an ASUS ROG forum which may be able to help with this. There is for example this thread that says that Pixel Cleaning "... helps to prolong the lifespan and maintain the quality of the display". So there does not seem to any issue of degradation being caused by this process. As I understand you could set the monitor to manual cleaning with an automatic reminder when a clean is due.

This is working as intended afaik. Oleds will do this when in standby, doesn't matter if it is a tv or monitor.

This should not degrade your screen, it is meant to do the opposite.

I contacted Asus and they say an rma is needed. This is not normal behavior. After 8hrs of use then it is normal that pixel clean does its thing, but not everytime the monitor goes to sleep.
These are not my words as i do not know it. That's why i am asking here. I will be sending the monitor back, but first they will send me a new one so i can check if it is the same.

I also checked the forums and saw that it is normal behavior as some are saying, but why is Asus telling me to do an rma if it is normal? I really have no idea :). Super confusing.
