i want to update bios (not real reason, all work ok, just want to try how it works with latest available 2600xt ddr4 bios (from techpowerup bios database)
i have gigabyte ati 2600xt gddr4 with bios:
ATI VER010.052.000.000.025211
file is 60.416 bytes
newer files are
ATI VER010.054.000.001.000000 60.416 and
ATI VER010.059.000.003.025211 65.536
i not sure what about same chip/model (2600xt ddr4) from different vendors.. they use same bios or different... I compare my 010.052.XXX (gigabyte) with ATI generic and saphires that have 010.052.XXX and no file difference...
Can i flash my gigabyte with that one .059 or .054???? (main question, answer with explanation please)
another interesting fact:
.059 is 07/31/07 23:37 (newer version have older date than .054???)
.054 is 08/27/07 03:06 (older version have newer date??? wtf???)
my .052 is 05/15/07 09:44 (oldest here....)
I even find .051 version @ techpowerup database, but my is newer....
any ideas/comments/suggestions/opinions???
