As I said yesterday a new upcoming version of ATI's video card driver will be available soon. For now only in beta stage there's a driver version Catalyst5.13-beta_8-203-051206a-029103E.exe which can be downloaded here. If you want to test it, give it a try.

changelog? Seemed that 5.12 slowed down FEAR for me, did anyone else notice this? I was running about 71 FPS average at my current settings under 5.11. 5.12 lowered this to about 59. Doesn't seem as if 5.12 was worth installing if you're a single-core user.

i dont know....
i have a single core cpu and it bumped up my unreal tournament 2004 fps by a coupla frames per second... nothing outstanding, but there definantly was a slight increase in performance....

I was under the impression that ATi named their drivers as the year.month (ie. 2005 Dec = 5.12). Shouldn't the next driver be 6.01 for 2006 Jan?

Or am I wrong?

This is a beta thougth, so it will probably be called 6.01 when it is released
