I tried dedicated physx with an 8400gs and that was horrible, I thought maybe it would be nicer with a more powerful card or something. Then again, I only bothered testing with demos.

The 9600GT was nice with PhysX, and PhysX itself was rather nice. However, there are really only 2 good games where PhysX is implemented in a way that makes the game more enjoyable, Batman:AA and Metro 2033. Those two games alone are not worth the hassle or even the power to run a second card.
