ATI HD5770 Bios flashing help

has or does anyone have/know a way of flashing the video bios under win 7 x64 i have tried with winflash and atiflash but i keep getting error msgs when trying to start the programs and even when using compatability modes (winxp sp3 / Vista)

Your best and safest bet would be to flash from DOS using floppy or USB drive

yeah thats what i thought (bugger) i hate doin it in DOS

just tried to create a dos bootable usb stick everything went ok till i tried booting off of it

Missing operating system
replace disk and press any key to continue

I used Nero 9 to create a bootable cd.
Then I placed atiflash and the bios file in the root of my C: drive.
When in DOS, go to the directory of your hard drive by typing "cd c:"

Then type "atiflash -p -f 0 nameoffile.bin" without the quotes of course.

It should say success. Then reboot.

P.S. I have the same mobo as you Athlonite. Except mine has wifi. Good board.

and that's not what i used but it was an HP usb format tool and used a zip file with the dos files needed to boot from :twitch:

yeah not the problem i'm having mine says i have 800 shaders /stream processors the problem i have is gray screen and vertical lines in 3d games and i need to be able to flash the vga bios from win7 x64 not DOS

ok so i downloaded gigabytes VGA@flash program which came with a version of ATIwinflash 2.0.1.11 which works under win7 x64 but all of the bios files on here for HIS HD5770 keep comming up with wrong subsys ID...? do i need to force it to flash the bios and if so what are the flags to use

yay i got it it to work with the above atiflash flags i just created a shortcut on my desktop and inserted the -p -f 0 nameoffile.bin flags into the target field made sure a copy of bios.bin file was in the same directory and 5mins and a reboot later and my his video card now say it has this 012.016.000.000.035211 bios installed

but alas it didn't stop the lock ups in 3d games
