That lovely card would fit in my case with room to spare :)

Nice benches,it should be faster than a gtx295 by the looks of it.

Subscribed since these babies are going to be on the market soon :D

I'm definitely curious about power consumption. The first things I've read look pretty positive in that aspect.
I also wonder where the 5850 will be on the benchmark map... Before or after the GTX285?

looks good... interested to see how these cards OC. Based on that vantage score, and given that Vantage doesn't particularly love ATI even in GPU-score terms, that looks to be one monster card.

Gotta be fun to be a reviewer-under-NDA and see most of the juicy details leak out before the launch.

the first couple of times it feels like "wtf and i have to wait", and you think about leaking. but after doing this for a while it's just "let them have their 5 minutes of fame, we'll have a really good informative review".

got the official press driver a few minutes ago and clicked "start" on the benchmarks :p

Why must W1zz get all the fun for himself??
Getting all the good toys for free is unfair...
Hope it beats that Mars review that i just read, with that money get 3x 5870 crossfire and at least 2.5x performance...

think about the number of hours i'll spend producing the review. think about the number of hours spent to come into a position that gets you pre-launch sampling from amd

    Scrizz and Steevo say thanks.

Can I ask whether you received *just* a 5870 or also a 5850 for review purposes, or is that NDA material?

I think that answered my question :D

I'm really more interested in the upcoming 5850 since I'm not that much of a gamer, but sneak peeks have shown a consistent low power consumption and very decent performance.

If it's anywhere near as bang-for-buck as the 4850 is, I'll definitely get one.

Looking forward to your review, I assume it will be W1zz quality ;)
