idk if he keeps all the cards, but the box showed that i guess some AIB partners allowed him to keep some of em.

haha well i dout he gets to keep that. what makes me think he only keeps some of them is for example he's done a review on the HD 4870 1gb but it hasn't been in any of his reviews since then, only the 512mb one. then again i could just be wrong

Its not like he reviews all the cards everytime, the system W1zz uses is simple, he reviews one and just need to add to the graphs the old numbers from other reviews, thats why he always uses the same test rig and nothing is changed for a while other than the cards to maintain accuracy...

yea, that's the only thing that is kinda meh, bc if he does do that and we get new drivers does he re-bench the other cards with the new drivers or just the card in question for that review? just a flaw in the results if he doesn't. Great reviews and i'm not taking anything from that but still it wouldn't be quite right if he didn't re-bench other cards with the same drivers.

Well thats me saying this, but since he probably needs to return most of the material he cant reuse the cards, except for new editions of the same model are sent to him, im not sure how it works if its the reviewer that asks for the material if its the manufacturers that decide sending the material for testing...
But anyway not only that but instead of a couple days for reviewing a single card he would need a couple days for each of them, that would be very tiring...

couple of days for 1 card? i've never done a review so i can't say yay or nay to that but i'd figure it'd only take 1 day. but yea i see your point.

I've done reviews for other things and it does take up quite a good few hours, depending on what your reviewing and how in depth your going to be, W1z's reviews are pretty detailed so I imagine would be a 4hour + job for each review.

Ever thought he is allowed by some of the partners to keep them for benching reason hence the reason he has a box load of them lol.

And i believe re does all the cards each and every single time if my memory serves me correctly.. Hence why it takes a hell load of his time to do what he does well.

mmmm i don't think every time, as i looked up 2 benchmarks and i think it was CoH for 2 separate card reviews and in CoH the HD 4870 at 117.2 fps in both. highly unlikely for that to happen twice. So i'd say he re-does them when new drivers are released.

That has to be the stupidest card ever released. If it were to have come out 6 months ago I would have been very jealous of the Nvidia camp. But now a month away from all new GPUs WITH a $1200 dollar price tag? Asus must have lost their damn minds.

I sure hope they learned some engineering tricks in R&D developing that thing. If not someone should be fired for such a waste of resources.

The way i figure is he tests only the review subject(s) card(s) which, in this case would be the 58x0 card(s), unless there's a new driver revision, in which case he tests all the cards. IMO, this makes the most sense.

This could also explain why in 2 different reviews the exact same result was given in that specific benchmark: both had the same driver revision (i'm guessing here, since i don't even know which reviews you are talking about).

I agree completely, thats why I said only a week, kind of a joke with it releasing this close to DX11 GPU's. But oh well that company makes good money, think they just wanted to flex their pipes, thats why they only made a limited run.

i rebench all cards every few months, thats why i need to keep them. for reviews happening after each other i keep the scores of the cards since the benchmarks results wouldnt have changed at all. the vga benchmarking machine is dedicated to just that and nothing is done to it between reviews (except for the full rebench when i can update drivers, games and settings). the test setup page lists the driver versions and settings used. as a_ump pointed out it is easy if you compare the individual benchmark scores between reviews.

i removed a couple of cards like the 4550, 4670 etc from the asus review because it makes no sense to show their performance data in the individual benchmarks, for the summary tables i included all cards
