Some benchmark runs I did. I used 9.9 drivers for the 4850 and latest beta driers for 5850.

I finally broke 19k, got 950/1170 stable now.

No its not.
The guy is just running Vantage with GPU Physx on.
You notice he is running a Phenom II 920 with a GTX 260 for Physx?
The CPU score sky rockets because it is the GTX 260 that is doing that test.
Those results will not actually be accepted on ORB.

silly me ,thx for clearing that up didnt notice he had phenom and physx.. i keep forgetting about that nifty thing nvidia got

nice comparison benchmarks Gabkicks,, got the same Sapphire box as u ..what a title GTA4 is, it loves cpu ghz but seems to benefit so little from better Gpu

as u can see i am far from it,, a performance score of 15400 at 3.7ghz , its pretty much going to be the same with 3.8, if u wana brake 19k intel i7 cpu would help, but a dedicated physx card on a side will boost that cpu score waaaaay up ..btw u would be amazed when u get 5850 such an improvement

not always, most of the time its the video card that will bottleneck first.. Check out Gabkicks comparison several posts higher, see how his overclocked cpu helps, sometimes it doesn't at all. But u see right away how a new generation video cars pulls away at times

damn it people, dont be hating on my physx card. Its kinda cheating but hell my ati card keeps up with the nvidia card scores with it!!! They dont have the physx advantage on me anymore and to me its totaly worth it. the 5850 as a renderer and gtx260 for physx is an awesome combo. batman plays so freakin smooth and so does mirrors edge now.

The one and only and it wasn't from cooling it was just a bad card. Oh and the stock cooler was on it when it failed. I was gonna do some stock testing.

Worth noting is the idle system power consumption: 3x 5870 < 1x gtx 295!!
