I have tried to OC my ATI RADEON 9000 64mb but everytime i try it i dont really get any good results. Stock its suppose to be 250/200 and i picked it up to 318/219 but there really wasnt any improvement. I was wondering if there is a way i can upgrade the card to PRO or what is there i can do to try and OC the card even better. Thanks

My best best guess is to buy a new card, your card is too old and I never heard of it being opverclocked or anything.

If you do what horbatbe suggests youe besy waiting till the r351 chip is released and picking that up it should be better performace than the 9600 and better ocong ptentiol.

120 euros seems pretty expensive. You could buy a 9800 Pro for about as much. (Im not interested in buying, just commenting)

What core does a 9100 use?

The R200, same as the radeon 8500. Essentially just a tuned down budget version of the ever powerful 8500.. no dx9 support but so much better than the NV fx5200U

Are you sure? My friend just got a PNY 5200 Ultra... Awesome looking card; big fansink, and ramsinks connected to fansink, and ramsinks on back of card, and a molex power connection. Beast of a card. It ran Halo PC at high framerates with everything all the way up at 800x600.

Also, in the GPU database it only has info for the 9100 IGP and Pro IGP, though these are prob different they use the RC350 and RS350 cores.

IGP i believe is the mobility one? I had a eVGA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra and it was crap compared to my Visiontek Radeon 9100.. and also costed $40 less.

The 9000 series has a clock lock, so that would cause the no gain in performance. Did you get rid of the clock lock?
