ATI Unleashes the New Performance King for Gamers: Introducing the Radeon X1950 XTX

Gamers have a lot to be excited about as today ATI announced its new flagship graphics card family, the Radeon X1950 series. The new Radeon X1950 XTX and Radeon X1950 CrossFire Edition work together or individually to deliver the ultimate gaming performance available today. Even in "extreme high definition" resolutions, the Radeon X1950 family beats competing single or dual-slot solutions using only half the processors'1'. Omg!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is so cheap for a new video card. Seems like this AMD ATI merger is working out pretty good. Blazing performance. I love computing stuff, I mean, you cant go wrong with either ATI or NVIDIA . (Ill take an x1950XTX and Crossfire both please)

if its not DX10 its not realy that cheap considering its going to be out dated after christmas

Man, are we going to keep hearing about DX10 until 2008 when all the games are mainstream? I mean this has been beaten to the ground after you beat the dead horse’s bones to powder already, sheesh give it a freaking rest.

Right now there is 1 game that will DX10 compatible and from what I read you will need to have it updated to DX10 as it's currently working under DX9. I could honestly see this as a valid argument if
-DX10 would be implemented for XP (which it could but how else are they going to push Vista) :shadedshu
-Vista was a fully functional and bug free OS. From the reviews I read they hammered the OS pretty good being nothing more then a re-skin with bloat @ 64bit operation
-If we had a list of past, present and future games that were in development AS WE SPEAK working on implementing DX10 into their game.

Truth of the matter there is no positive strides of DX10 and, we are entering quarter 4 of 2006. ETA for Vista is suppose to be Q1 of 2007. That's not a lot of time to implement new technology in programming. So were is this wave of DX10 games that warrant buying a un-optimized, 1st edition DX10 Video card Anyone with some common sense would wait until the second wave of DX10 cards come out :shadedshu.

Do we forget how ATI introduced the X1800xt as the flagship then a few months later introduced the X1900xtx which blew it away? I am sure we may get a repeat out of the R600 as we did out of the R520. I am sure there will be a fully DX10 optimized R6x0 some where just a few months after the release of the R600.

Therefore, cool your heels and stop being so narrow minded using your tunnel vision to see something that obviously not there. All you can see is the light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t misinterpret it to be availability of products which hasn’t surfaced yet. If you are looking for a fast, cheap video card, get the X1950XTX and wait until mid to late 2007 (Q3 or Q4) to see what surfaces of DX10. If the DX10 cards do come out and there is no games, no point in buying it. If the DX10 are buggy with DX10 cards and better drivers are needed, no need to buying it until it’s sorted (I bet that will be the biggest problem when all this happens anyway).

this card ain't slow folks. Nope, this card ain't slow at all!!! But if you want a faster VC wait for the R600 forget about the DX10 for now.
