Hello guys,
PLEASE READ. I think I have done everything right, but I must be missing something...
I need to reflash my HD 6950.
I have created a bootable DOS flash drive by using HP usb tool versions 2.18 and 2.23, entered the location of the win98 boot files, formatted to FAT32, and after formatting, I put Atiflash.exe and a BIOS file (.rom) in the usb drive.
When I reboot I should go to a DOS screen after POST, right?
But even if I force the USB drive as the first boot device, the computer will go straight to Windows 8 startup animation.
Does it simply not work with windows 8.1 or am I missing something?
EDIT: The usb drive is a 16gb one... could it be the problem? It's formatted to FAT32 anyway...
