HKEPC shows some slides about ATI's RD600 chipset. The features are of course Crossfire, nextgen Conroe and full DDR2 1066MHz support, running single-rank Dimms with Command Rate 1T and independent memory overclocking which sounds very intersting.
For all slides read the full story.

Memory overclocking? Cool

Infinitely async mem speeds, even cooler.

Yeah...I need more than 1 PCI slot.

The 975X and now the RD600 support Conroe, LGA775.

It's still the 3200. But the northbridge was changed to RD600.

Is it about time? ATI's pretty darn strategic with all the fuss about Conroe... if this board is as good as it sounds (plus being stable and "compatible", like Audigy cards not making popping sounds :wtf: ), it will certainly compete with intels offerings... but now talk about AMD buying ATI? This is just plain weird

Yes, the 955 and 975 boards with dual PCIx16 slot will. Actually, it's whether the Catalyst drivers support it, which they have (thank you ATI).

Nvidia has deliberately disabled SLI on Intel based boards, but not on Nforce boards - they do this in thier drivers. It would work if it wasn't for that.... the fact that they want to sell NForce based motherboards. In two words, they suck. :wtf:

I've always liked ATI, just something about them I like. nVidia, I could go with them, but I'd rather not. There's just something about ATI...

They need to get rid of IDE already. Just include an ide to sata converter. My NF7-S 2.0 came with one, and thats an almost 4 year old board now.
