So I'm overclocking my video card, and I was busy OCing the memory, and when I did that and ran ATiTool, it did not recognise the errors my video card made. I saw yellow dots popping up all over the 3D screen, but it never reported an error :/

How can I trust ATiTool to properly test an OC if it doesn't report any clearly visual errors?

.27 beta 3, so it could be in the beta part.

As for system specs:

Asus P5K motherboard
Intel E6750 @ 3.33 GHz
2GB OCZ Ram (don't exactly know the type, it's running at 415 MHz, 5-5-5-15)
XFX 8800 GTS 320 MB @ Core:654, mem: 1065 (didn't see any errors at 1070, but went down for safety)
Onboard sound (ordered a Creative XtremeMusic today)
Thermaltake BigTyp 120 CPU cooler
Corsair HX520W PSU

Hope that satisfies you :)

I'm using that to set clock speeds and fans and such, but I can't find where to test using that. In tutorials/guides/whatever for that program there seems to be a test button I cannot find, even when on the same screen as in the pics in those tutorials.

Bump, I'm still having this prob, and it's really annoying, as I want to run the tool for a long period of time while doing something else, and when I come back, I want to know if my video card failed or not.

there is a setting to use "old method - more compatible" which has helped me with a problem like this once.

I have similar problem. 8800GT. Ati tool doesnt report artifacts that are visible on the screen. I have tried 0.26 and 0.27b4. I have moved the artifact detection slider to the left (most sensible it should be) - but ati tool still doesnt report artifacts that I clearly see.
There is something wrong with "old method - more compatible". When i check it. There are visually no artefacts (and i am sure there must be some, because of hellish clocking). Without check on old method i see them clearly but ati tool say no artifacts.

If you see yellow dots, they are called artifacts and you are oc'd too high. Think of the yellow dot as a "warning".
