Sorry to take the time off of you guys, but this problem has been bugging me for too long! I've been scouring the net for x1800xt articles from fr4nk and various others yet I still can't get past this problem. Hopefully you guys will lend me the hand to fix it!
On with the show:
My x1800xt will not switch its clock speeds set on ATITool when 3d apps are ran. Here are my 2d/3d settings on the program (and yes, I have ati2evxx.exe disabled on startup along with ATISmart and the Catalyst Control Center).
1A: The Default setting for 2D.
1B: The Overclock setting for use in 3D.
2: 3D Detection option.
3: RivaTuner's Hardware Monitor does not show any changes in clock speeds when Elder Scrolls: Oblivion is running.
Have any of you guys a clue to why this is happening? When I use Overdrive's overclocker, Hardware Monitor shows change. This is driving me crazy!
