the MX20x is $35 right now is a sweet spot deal

the Mx30x are $70

the Mx40x is also a sweet spot, $75

personally, $100+ is too rich for me regarding a headset, but $50 i can justify

I've been using M50X for about 2 years, good headset. Only flaw is the headband eventually peels.

it's likely PVC leather, the same stuff they put on "leather" computer chairs ,etc. I got a pair of sennheiser headphones (HD419) about four years ago, they still sound the same as the day I got them, and they look the same as the day I got him. They don't have the leather wrap, they're just solid rubber and plastic , but they sound really decent for Sub $60 Headphones.

Really great pair. I have the M50x for my keyboard and I use the ATH-AG1 at my PC. I have had them years and they sound fantastic still! I have had to buy new muffs for my AG1s though because they peeled. I contacted audioTechnica and they were awesome about it though. But did say they did not have velour covered muffs or I honestly would have got them.

I am using Auray leather earpads, big improvement. The pads are meant for the HD280 but work perfectly on the M50X.

Ive had the M50X for three years, no issues with peeling. But they are tight on my head, sound great though
