Selling my laptop because I got a new one. It is a GREAT computer (hey, it's a Sony product!), MODEL: VGN-AR290G. Intel Core 2 Duo processor 2GB of RAM, 200GB HDD. It also has an NVidia 7600GT Graphics card (256MB Dedicated memory). It has Windows Vista Premium, a 17" screen, Webcam, blu ray Burner, Wifi (both wireless G and wireless N compatible), HDMI out (looks great on my HDTV). It is in MINT condition, no scratches or cosmetic blemishes, and no problems.
You can have it for $400.

Brand new that laptop is $2,499. (Out of stock though)

Yeah, I'm from Binghamton NY. I used to no people in Rochester, but most people I know have moved out of that area.

New laptops with similar specs cost about the same. I paid $350 for a laptop with the same specs, but a better graphics card at best buy about 3-4 months ago. It was a Sony Vaio that I got on clearance (still brand new).

EDIT: Didn't notice blu-ray burner! My bad! Mine is just a DVD Burner and has a 15.4" Widescreen not 17". Definitely a good deal if its legit!

Many reasons why you wouldn't want a sony laptop:

1: Blue-ray output to tv through hdmi in unsupported, no tv playback
2: Service pack 1 for vista doesn't work
3: None of the function keys will work under windows XP.
4: The updates from sony are almost 3 pages long
5: I'm sure there are a few other reasons as wll

Though if ya wanna blow your wad on a sony laptop still go for it

I use vista, don't use the function keys, and own a ps3. I'd be ok. XD

Remember this is your thread, so I doubt any mod will yell at you for going off topic, and I probably wouldn't pay more than $50 for new XP considering I have seen copies of Vista for $75.

I think they're home edition. I'm probably not going to get them while I have such a small (60gb IDE) HDD.
