B350 motherboard with AMD 5900

I was recently given a ASUS TUF B350M-PLUS GAMING motherboard, 16 gb of Corsair LPX DDR4 3200 RAM, and a Ryzen 5 2400G. I've read that the new AMD 5000 CPUs work in older AM4 motherboards. Is this true? Can I run a 5900X in my ASUS B350 motherboard with nothing more than a BIOs update? Not worried about OC'ing. Stock speeds will be fine.

If somebody hacks an AGESA to make it happen maybe. Otherwise no. There is no plan to support Zen 3 on X370, B350 or A320 motherboards.

I've since replaced the ASUS board with a Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2 board and plan to just keep the 2400G with it.
