4kc18 should be a damn good kit
Maybe just not on amd or your board though.

Not necessarily with the ripjaws c18 kit. If you were talking the C17 b-dies, I'd say yea. With the ripjaw c18 kit, while the speed vs latency is ok but the price is great, they're quite cheap for the density.

No Problems with the New combo so far
old kit was NOT on the qvl but I think that cpu was just defective
new 5800x and crucial ram are much happier

I remember hearing the first batch of Zen3 chips had some funk to them.. maybe yours was part of that batch?

Doubt that. My 5900x is an early batch, can do 1900 IF w/o adding volts.
