I've got a list of games here - though it's not complete, I haven't kept it updated for a bit and added what I could recall - I've probably got another 2+ dozen games to add to this list.

I've been doing my best to avoid buying anymore games , but it's so hard when I find a good deal on a game in a store if I happen by it or on Steam, GoG or Bundlestars.

So, does anyone else have this same problem? Do you constantly buy more than you can every beat?

Yeah, it seems it's pretty common to buy more games on big Steam/Origin/GOG sales than have time to play. I haven't played a single game from 2013 and up though I own some already and there are dozens more that are on my list awaiting really good sales. I have AAA games that I already bought all the way back to 2003 that are just sitting in my library collecting dust.

Rather than just let them sit, I do the same. I try most out, and that helps me know which order to go back to them in my backlog.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
I am married with 2 children and a career job... I don't have time to even buy that many games, none the less try and play them. In my active collection I have BF4, Battlefront, Ashes of the Singularity, and Dirt: Rally. I only buy what I will play.

I've given up trying to play the games in my library backlog. So I've hidden many many games in my library so it doesn't look like I have that many unplayed, so I feel less guilty about buying new games :D

But I have slowed down significantly lately. As @EarthDog said, with wife, kids, business...no time like I used to...but it doesn't stop me from occasional purchases. ;)

But @neatfeatguy, there are some good games in your list: Amnesia TDD, CoD WaW, and Witcher (among others) and some good old games like Medal of Honor Allied Assault, one of my favorite games from the 2000s!

Same here - two kids, wife and a dog (soon to be 2 dogs, close to adopting another husky). I think I get 6-8 hours a week for gaming. Most of it is usually one weekend night and then I tend to play co-op games with my younger brother.

I've got a few buddies that have been playing a lot of GTA V online and they pester me to play with them. I've done a couple of sessions of it, but it's not really that exciting of a game.

You have good old games there, and preety much unknown, like Boiling Point: Road to Hell.

I've tried a lot of my games - but I probably have about 15% of them that I haven't even opened the plastic on the packaging or downloaded.

I did play a bit of Boiling Point: Road to Hell - pretty fun game. After I upgraded my computer a while back and moved from Vista to Win 7, I never re-installed the game.

I really, really liked Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 - it was one of my favorite FPS/tactical games. I just never moved on with the series yet. I still have Earned in Blood and Hell's Highway to play.

Yep, got a huge backlog myself. Reason last year the only games I actually bought where for my 3DS and Wii U that where exclusive to them. The only game I recently bought for PC was Cities:Skylines which I have easily got my moneys worth out of and the healthy mod community keeps that game going strong. Kind of the reason I still play Minecraft. Throw a mod on it and it is a whole new gameplay to mess with.

@Fluffmeister is the champion of the backlog. He has more games than anyone I've ever known. Must be close to 2,000.

Darn, sounds like they have every indie game made or games all the way back to MS-DOS.

I actually still have my Dad's old floppy disc that have MS-DOS games plus CD of Ultima Underground 1 & 2.

I actually still have my Dad's old floppy disc that have MS-DOS games plus CD of Ultima Underground 1 & 2.

Before I went out to college I had the games I owned boxed up (original Warcraft, Black & White, Half Life, Diablo, Diablo II, Star Wars Jedi Knight and a plethora of other DOS games) and left at the old folks place because I couldn't take everything to the dorms. These games, they all had the original boxes, manuals, artwork, posters, maps (you name it) in them. Everything was in like new condition.

While I was out my younger brother found my PC games and took it upon himself to use them. Not only did he destroy almost all the boxes, he ruined anything that came in the boxes and scratched up almost all the games because he'd just throw them on the ground when he was done playing. This wasn't some 10 year old kid, he was 16-17 year old that treated my stuff like garbage. I wanted to kill him. He didn't think it was a big deal.

Half Life was the only game that had the box, manual and disc in good condition. Everything else was garbage, wrecked beyond salvaging. I never let him borrow anything else since then. He got a taste of his own medicine when he had roommates for college and they treated his Xbox, games and movies like trash and his property got ruined. He takes good care of things now.

I've been doing my best to avoid buying anymore games , but it's so hard when I find a good deal on a game in a store if I happen by it or on Steam, GoG or Bundlestars.

So, does anyone else have this same problem? Do you constantly buy more than you can every beat?

Games I think you should play first as I really enjoyed them. Start with these!

Games I played and enjoyed.

Games that I think look interesting but never played.

How about not only a large backlog of games but also a backlog of games you want to add to your backlog, I mean buy? :wtf:

Still want to buy...
- Life is Strange
- Tomb Raider (latest one)
- Gravity Rush
- Shovel Knight
- Amnesia (your backlog is still my wishlist)
- X-Com2

My backlog has a waiting list... :ohwell:

I'm doing it slowly. I like my games slowly. It doesn't matter if I complete them 2 days after release, 1 week or 1 year later. I've finished Bioshock 2 like several months after release. It had some weird bug if you used custom keybind and you couldn't call little sister from the vent because of it. So I stopped playing and finished it when they fixed this or I found the fix for it later on. Months later. Same for Battlefield 3 which had the same game stopping keybind bug I've even posted here on TPU about.

Yesterday I've finished Life is Strange. I've started playing it on release day, finished first episode and enjoyed it very much. Then second episode came, started playing it and kinda lost track. Picked it up just few days ago and finished it. The gap in between didn't bother me at all. I've recalled all the happening from before and continued the story. Again, enjoyed it tons and I even think Life is Strange became my all time favorite game. Kinda regret it now that I haven't played it whole back in October when last episode was finally released. But I'll explain why...

I don't see the point in finishing games just to brag around you've finished it. You have to do it with a proper mood, you have to immerse yourself into it properly. And if you don't feel like you really want to play a game, then just don't. Continue it like I do. Even if it's one year later. Eventually you'll finish all games on Steam even if the list seems endless at the moment.

I just remembered I have Alien:isolation Nostromo bonus levels to finish. I guess that's what'll be my next thing. After Life is Strange, I'm kinda in the mood for some weird scary shit again.

Start with Max Payne 2 (and replay the first one too while you're at it) because it is really good and not very long iirc. It's probably one of the best games I've played to be honest.

I see recent game giveaways from folks on the forums here and I'm thinking - cool! I need those games, too. Then I think of all the other games I have that I still haven't beaten. I've got a list of games here - though it's not complete, I haven't kept it updated for a bit and added what I could recall - I've probably got another 2+ dozen games to add to this list.

The list is a mix of games that I've had for years and just never played to recently purchased or gifted games. I used to buy cheap games off Amazon.com or hit up Gamestop (yes, back when they sold PC games and you'd have a large selection of games) locations near me and buy cheap games I didn't already own.

Bugger, @neatfeatguy . that list need a /spoiler :)

I don't know that I have that many that I've not played, but I definitely have that many available that I've not finished, and many of those I probably never will....

I have 342 games on Steam and have maybe beat 30-50 of them, played maybe 100 or so.
Not counting the stacks of PS3 games I have that I haven't completed or played. I've only bought one PS4 game because of that.
