Why wouldnt they just add the DLC with the retail game? It hasnt gone gold yet, that just seems silly.
They should be saving that up for a rainy day....
Do those of us who Preordered on Steam and Played There Buggy Beta to help them fix problems get in on this Free DLC?
Going gold means the games been put onto the original disc meant to make the rest of the discs, that was done AFAIK something like January 28th. And I'm pretty sure the PC copies have now gone gold.
I don't see any issues with this, hopefully that means they are already cooking up more maps/weapons/vehicles.
so yeah I preordered on steam i hope i get this dlc as well
The reason is said it the original text. Second hand games are a big problem for publishers as they don't get anything from the buy. So they make "half" a game and give the rest for free for those who buy. If you buy second hand you don't get full game.
Not that I agree with this method, but an online game is not something I'd sell away anyways, not that you really can as the key is married with you EA account.
That. Though I pre-ordered a physical copy, so some paper with code on inside the case would be nice. The mendioned unlocks are the limited edition, surely the DLC stuff can't be that.
DLC announced before the game is even released and it being released on the same day?
Incentive to buy the game is all.
Free DLC is good. I think this is a good way to stifle 2nd hand markets and also pirates.
No DLC announcement, they are giving vouchers so when DLC content comes out, the people with vouchers get it for free basically. But you need to buy the game at release to get the vouchers, just incentive to buy the game now.
