Not to be left out, we've got Ballistix's take on the TUF Gaming Alliance memory. These Gaming-grade DDR4 sticks come in varying speeds and capacities catering to entry-level gamers and enthusiasts alike. Although we've got the TUF Gaming Alliance version here today, other visual designs to match other motherboards are on the way, making these sticks a great option for those looking for a bit more in performance, but still with a focus on price.

Wait what? 17-19-19-38 timing at DDR4-3000 and a 9.9 rating. Am I missing something here? Also why is the price showing the 4x8GB configturation while you are testing 2x8GB? What is going on?

TImings are relatively unimportant in the bigger picture. This kit gets the high score for taking a non-standard memory speed that is only capable on current platforms with a BCLK OC, giving you added CPU performance on locked chips along with your XMP profile. This is not a kit for overclocking or high memory speeds... Ballistix has other products for that. With that in mind, offering an easy way for non-K-SKU users to get a decent performance boost isn't something to overlook. K-SKU users will typically opt for higher speeds (3200 MHz+) and lower latencies, and Ballistix knows it.

I think with RAM review, a bit of information regarding the die used would be nice.

Ok, but did you try to OC it to 3200 or that option is only available on Z version MB's.

yep, H-series chipset has max memory speed of 2666 Mhz.

Ballistix is owned by Micron. It's probably Micron IC?
Pro
No LED

Cons
No RGB

What is that suppose to mean?
It means I can consider all users needs?

Seriously... 3000 at CL17?

CL15 is the absolute highest I'd go for 3000.

very interesting benchmark results that i think not a lot looked at??

there is more to it then primär timings like 2nd + tertiary and micron knows how to tune them.

thx for the test cadaveca

For other reviewers, these seem to OC easy to 3333 on the same timings

Guru3d just reviewed them, on Intel and AMD.

yeah, you can do that, but generally speaking that's with looser timings. There are other reviews that got similar results as I did on OC. That doesn't mean that much in the big picture tho, since these are really supposed to be used with the TUF boards, which aren't exactly the best OC boards these days. I didn't show OC results because with my set that didn't help because of the looser timings. I expect some sets to be capable of 3600 MHz, but those might be a bit rarer.
