Why do you guys say i3-2100 can't be upgraded? It can be upgrade to a 2500[K], 2600[K], and even to Ivy Bridge whenever it's released... And there's absolutely NO benchmarks on Bulldozer yet. And I HIGHLY doubt processors that were designed to support higher multi-threading (8-cores, 16 threads) were meant to outperform Sandy Bridge's gamer platforms. Please go find me a game or applications a budget user would use that requires 16 threads. And if you want that many threads, wait until X79 when it offers performance + multi-threads. An AM3 MoBo that will support AM3+, I'm sure it's a simple BIOS update. But I would expect only the higher-end $200+ boards will get the attention of a BIOS update. Which is not in his budget..
