Basic operation question

Hi all,

I just came across this utility. I'm suspecting my 3D speeds are not using my overclock settings when I go into the game.

I'm at work and haven't had a chance to test it yet, but to check to see if my 3D speeds are right for my card and overclock settings, am I correct that I just start GPU-Z, enable log option in sensors, enter the game then check the log when I get out?
