So i tryed it again and its only behind me, when i start out the textures are artifacting behind me, but the rest of the environment is ok.(and it lags, think i need to not use AA) :mad:

Imma run the game on Medium with no AA and see if its still there.

If it is, i will just get newer drivers i guess.

Observations

Point 1
The reason why there is no AA for ATI users is because this game uses the unreal 3 engine. Hopefully using bioshock.exe will allow for AA through CCC. I haven't tried it yet because I found no need for it in unreal 3's engine.

Point 2
The demo was way to short for a 2 gig download. The movies subfolder is 1.07Gigs!!!!!

Point 3
As with all unreal 3 engine's you can tweak it by finding the BaseEngine.ini file (which is read only). You can:
-disable smooth frame rate
-tweak max channels (default 32)
-change FovAngle (default 90)
-change AllowMultiThreadedShaderCompile (default False)
-change MotionBlur (default True)
-change AllowD3D10 (default false)
-change MaxAnisotropy (default 4)
-change EnableVSMShadows (default false)
And, many other options not mentioned. I haven't varified if any of them will work in game. Just noted they are available from the BaseEngine.ini file. You will have to experiment for yourself. It's possible that none of this will work because the file is read only. You do this at your own risk!

Point 4
This game plays horribly with keyboard and mouse setup. I am shocked and disappointed that this demo didn't support the xbox360 game pad as an option. For those of us who use a game pad for such games I can only hope that it's supported in the retail version.
Edit:
Xbox 360 game pad does work once the drivers for them are installed.

Point 5
Frame Rates remained at a solid 60 FPS throughout the demo at 1920x1200 (detail level very high
bloom, dynamic shadow, motion blur, distortion, fog volume, spherical harmonic lighting, ambient occlusion all yes). No need to disable vsync as the game was as smooth and fluid.

Of course there will be even if there wount be you still can add gamepad buttons in keyboard config menu.Atleast there are games that allows such move.

Tried that in the demo and it doesn't work. Furthermore, I looked at the ini file and the option is set to 1.

Probably they will allow it in full wersion,because this game goes on Consoles so there must be Gamepad option.It would be strange if there where none.

Yup, it works once the drivers are installed. I figured that the OS would install them for me since it was detected. Odd...but it's all good now :rockout:

my xbox360 gamepad for windows works beautifully, the buttons are the exact same as on the XBOX360 and jus as respondant. runing 8x AA full settings, on a 4870 and e8500 getting 60+ FPS 95% of the time (probably closer to 98%, but i get those millisecond lag spikes every minute or so like every other game in history) 1920x1200. Graphics are beautiful, but had an error, the game looks fairly solid, the storyline seems fairly enticing. I might actually buy the game! never has a game based off of. . . well. . . anything. . . . been this good.
