Played this new jungle map. No bugs but clearly proofs that "community maps" are not per se good as they pretend to please so many the result is a 4-season frankenpizza. Could be a nice stealth map, but stealth and BF are mutually excluding

I've got a server switching between Conquest and Chain Link (but vote map is up so it could just be constant Conquest). Can't get in it right now to try and seed it, but if you want to mess around feel free: Battelog Link.

Right now it's at 125% ticket count which is 1000 on Conquest, but I'm not sure what the default ticket count on Chain Link is. Right now it's only 30hz, but once they give me the option I'm going to get at least 60, maybe higher. Depends on what they offer per game modes.

Don't forget you not only have to update your client, you also have to go to the store and separately download the map. Why they have moved to this system is beyond me, it is so much nicer when packs are included in the update. Now I have to wait for an additional 2.45GB to download before I can try this new puppy out.

I like the new map. reminds me a lot of BC2 and some of the BC2: Vietnam maps.

You're right, it is kind of laid out like Operation Hastings with more foliage. I like it, too.

After playing some more and staying in the temple/waterfall area, and playing Conq. Large, I also like it. This map with silence (only birds, folliage, etc, no vehicles making noise) can be quite tense.

Liking some of the changes here. Anyone else had issues with origin being unresponsive? It will stop repsonding for minutes at a time for me ever since the last update.

Yeah, I hate when I go to play BF4 and then origin notifies me that there's an update available and I only have to wait two hours for the patch instead of four for patch&map with my shitty DSL to play. What a dick move EA.

Srsly though, they should give you an option in the UI along the lines of "automatically download new content and updates" with the other option being "Automatically download new updates only". That would have made more sense.

Yes mine was like it was locked up until the download was done. I only played one round. Gonna try them out Friday. It kind of reminded me of BFBC2 also, which I play more now then BF4. I still like that game a lot.

Totally like that BF1982 thing. Get the "a la football match" bullshit out and put the basics back in, and improve the teamplay and missions. And above all make it slower, no bikes etc, pleasssse

I think I ran into you yesterday on that very map (outbreak). Squad wiping each other's squad back and forth at C in and around the houses and just below the hill.

I'm liking the map myself. I kinda wish they'd release more than one map at a time, as they seem to get pretty stale by the time the next comes out when they do it one at a time; maybe I'm just overplaying the new stuff.

My buddy spent over 15 hours getting the Bow. I got it on the new map in about 2 seconds. boy was he pissed when I showed him how.

Last time I played it on CTE they did not have the tanks as it was very difficult to get around even with the one that was originally a C flag spawn. I'm not sure why they added them to both bases since I'm pretty sure everyone thought it was too tight of a map for tanks, let alone LAVs.

Ive been in a few games where some guy sitting in a tank literally went something like 57-0 or higher because nobody was trying to kill his tank and he just camped near his spawn and waited for the enemy team to come and cap the point right in front of his base. Been in a lot of games where people have some crazy k/d scores. Already caught a few map glitchers but aparently you cant shoot through from inside or under the map itself if you glitched through the terrain. Im 100% certain there are some major exploits on this map

Tanks and IFVs are horribly OP after the last update. I have nothing against rebalancing stuff and giving boosts where necessary, but I think they went over the line here. I can't comment about jets and helicopters though.

one small gripe that i have is that RPGs dont almost insta-kill choppers like the previous patch. Ive hit a fair few choppers last night and only one out of 3 of them blew up instantly. the other 2 out of 3 kept on flying even though they were temporarily 'immobilized' I got hits using an SMAW and RPG. I was also playing on a hardcore server.

If you've got enough skill to hit a moving chopper with an RPG then you should be rewarded with a kill

If you've got enough skill to hit a moving chopper with an RPG then you should be rewarded with a kill

If it was on the new map that's normal since the only helo is the transport. It's got higher health than the other helos. There's nothing in the game that can 1 shot it.
