I would gladly strangle most animal abusers with my bare hands given the chance and enjoy every moment but MV not only served his time and "gave back" to dog shelters and what not but seemed he sincerely felt remorse about the whole thing too. Dude deserves his second chance IMO and this comment wasn't necessary. And I don't think he personally abused any dogs anyway though he allowed and financed the fighting ring.

Wooo less than a weeeeeeeek. I wish I had my second 7950 already. But this way I will appreciate it even more after playing with a single one for a month or two.

Yeah him trying to rebrand himself for NFL properties will do a lot for your conscience.

Anyway I was thinking of getting a 780. Worth the money or just wait for the next gen of GPU's? Gotta maxorz out the battlefields.

If BF4 runs fine your solid I would say. Once they fixed the beta it rean really good for me on my 2500k and 680. I'll wait till 20nm GPUs are out, anything above 770/280/7970 is just too much $$ for the increase. It's almost twice the price and the performance is not double. I do however wish I had a 2700k/2600k to play with now :)

Well I was trying to say that I think it's not just that kind of bs this time. But hey I could be wrong. And if I am then figures in this POS world and gee I should've let my usual negative cynicism guide me all along. I guess we can at least both agree that child and animal abusers are the lowest of the low which is what's important I guess.

Anyway I am not so sure I buy this yet both given the source and also the fact it would essentially be a first for a game but Corsair claims BF4 benefits significantly from higher memory frequencies. Needs more testing.

Just another 670 FTW card if you can find one. Run SLI. Reayth is now and was getting pretty crazy high frames for the settings he was running in BF3 yesterday.

I got Into a little difficulty with SimplyCDKeys - they forced me to sign up to their website with their 'we need to verify your paypal email address' email.

I did that and theres no evidence of my order and every link to 'verify' my email address leads me to an simplycdkeys login screen. And now i am registered to their damn website theres no evidence of my order and ive emailed their support regarding the issue. Made a complaint and was no fucking way satisfied with their answer but 'hey we verified your paypal email' so payment was taken....

In the two days they spent thinking up of a 5 second reply to me I have found a better offer that includes BF4 Premium and have already paid for it as Its a site I have bought from MANY times.

Money was taken out of my bank account by simplyCDKeys but Im now trying to get a refund as I have TWO copies of BF4 (and no - im not gonna give it away :p)

This could go either way... but the order still doesnt come up on my account but theyve definitely taken my money.

Not a good endorsement for simplyCDKeys

25 FPS boost for 400 bucks once I sell my 670 FTW.

I know. He stole my idea. Now I need to get like two Titans just to rub it in. My 670 still goes for like 375. To much for IMO.

Wait for 780Ti then. Should take up the 780 $649 price point.

Would love to see that in single card, as, outside of BF4, higher memory frequencies help with SLI/CFx anyway... :nutkick:. WTG Corsair... :shadedshu

Thanks, interesting read but personally I thinks its a money grab article from Corsair.

Yeah. Needs further and more varied testing at best, and stinks of marketing bs at worst. These, uh, people at OCN where I found it are eating it up too. The whole thread turned into a RAM overclocking circle jerk.

LOL. I guess overclocking ram has become a forgotten pastime with all the cpu/gpu oc being done over there.

Take this with a grain of salt, but Hardcoregamer has a news flash that shows a "possible leak" on Gamestop for Black Friday that shows BF4 going for $30.

http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2013/10/19/gamestop-black-friday-ads-possibly-leak-online/59121/

As I said, take that with a grain of salt, but I would imagine that there will be deals of that sort on Black Friday or even Cyber Monday.

I'm about as stingy as they come when it comes to spending money, but even I would not miss out on 4 weeks of gaming to possibly save $30.

Oh... DO TELL... How is a card that matches/beats a 780 for ~$100+ less "not worth it". Performance /$ wise it seems like a winner, no? Not to mention the increases in FPS it will have when the Mantle update is introduced in BF4...

Perhaps you are concerned about heat/power consumption? (hard to tell since there was no reason mentioned... just a 'shock value' post.. :slap: :))

The fact I can get almost 20 more FPS for the same price (or less) with two 670's?

Mantel?? HAHAHAHAHAHHA

Seriously this whole generation of GPU's is a waste of time.

Here Ill just quote myself....

I'm all about best bang for the buck and if a NEEDED a new card the 290X would have my attention. Problem is NVIDIA's last generation was so over priced that it makes the 290X the better deal at less over priced. At the end of the day you can get way better performance for less money with one generation past. That's my biggest problem with the 290X. It should be $420 not $550.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
That is your choice to deal with the potential pitfalls of multi-card setups such as power consumption, heat, noise, late to the table profiles for SLI/CFx, etc.

I am always a single card guy at 1080p just to avoid that crap since at 1080p, a single 670 would be fine for most titles anyway...but you go on with your bad self! :)

Thank you though for actually posting a reason. Sad we had to hoover it out of you though...

Duel card setups tend to be more of an issue on ATI rigs. Not so much on Nvidia. Also I hope you don't think a 290 is light on heat and noise.

Benchmark Scores Rimworld 4K ready!
Aye if you have a 670 and have a motherboard with an extra PCI-E slot most definitevly go for SLI. No discussion. Can SLI bring issues? Totally yes, but a) nvidia is better at it than AMD atm, b) so can everything else and c) it's more performance for less money (in this case).

I really don't understand people these days.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
Duel card setups tend to be more of an issue on ATI rigs. Not so much on Nvidia. Also I hope you don't think a 290 is light on heat and noise.
Duel... lol you from Europe son? :D

Anyway, the 290 is lighter on heat for sure than two 670's (TDP of 2 670's = 340W), maybe not temperature, but heat output (certain you know those are different things).

As far as noise, no clue. But I would guess that two 670's are louder than a single R9 290x? Who knows.

To each their own though gentlemen. :)

as you agreed with above, with it can come problems. There is more propensity of problems with SLI/CFx than with a single card, hands down (and more with CFx than SLI). I would imagine you agree.

From scratch, the GTX670's cost more than a R9 290X. Now, if you already have one 670 as mentioned, perhaps dropping another $350 is worth it to get faster than a newer card. Again, at 1080p, that is single card territory for 99% of games not named Crysis 3.

Again, to each their own. :)
