I'm running at total ultra and it is running Great. They got the hiccup's out so far. Might still get a crash now and then not sure.

I haven't overclocked my hardware, otherwise I'd try as you suggest on that front. My friend is experiencing the same issues with his Nvidia hardware so I don't think it's only AMD related. We'll see, hopefully there are enough reports now for another patch in the near future.

I will say though that the Flood Zone map is a ton of fun.

Other than the issue with sound dropping, this has been the most satisfied I've been with a game since UT2k4 probably. Feels like we finally got a full blown PC-centric game here with lots of different ways to play and good stuff galore.

Totally it's really tons of fun and looks fantastic. I already got mines woo and you definitely can "counter a counter knife"; wasn't just a beta thing or a quirk for sure. So keep hitting that melee button if you see any struggle/hestitation after you initiate a front knife (meaning they are trying to counter). I use my smaller of two side mouse buttons on my SS Sensei and I know I'm gonna break it like my last mouse by smashing it in too hard and too often (tho that was a POS Death Adder).

Almost done with the single player. Its pretty good.....but, predictable. Its hard to listen to "Irish" and not think of a thin naked shivering black man on the side of "The Road".

Recording it , no spoiler. This fucking game is bad fucking ass. Any one that say's it is just BF3 again is totally nut's. The waves and weather and shit is crazy. Really plays into the game well.
I think that was my real first round of Conquest large on something other then Beta. Man gonna be hard to stay away from this.

Gave in and bought it, though now I'm plagued with the issue of the game just sitting there "initializing". Click the Battlescreen and "No Connection". Been at it an hour trying to figure this out. FFS, this is ridiculous.

Played a few rounds of MP yesterday (32p maps). I noticed a lot of fps dips so I have to turn off the AA (everything else is ultra). I guess the game is still not very compatible with SLI setup.

I've done it through VPN, all you need to do is login with the VPN and then turn it off and that unlocks the game.

It seems as though the PB update resolved my issue. I was able to play for about 2 hours straight without crashing. Thanks again for the suggestion!

This game is absolutely superb. The visuals are great, but the gameplay is a LOT more fluid. After unlocking the first Engi carbine I'm finally starting to put enemies down in quicker succession. I've played the dam, prison, Shanghai and Flood, and the maps are all outstanding. They each have a great balance to them. Also, not as much recon camping so far.

That sounds exactly like Punkbuster. Download PBSetup.exe, Add Game then Check For Updates. I guess I (and others) have to keep repeating this? This is something everyone should already be in the habit of doing anyway. Does not hurt to check after each patch too.

The present "big vehicle map" is a little meh but some fun times can be had up on that huge dish! You can easily get vehicles up there and use it as a giant launch for the quad bikes (though I didn't do anything super cool like the gif below; just flew way farther than I thought I would). The vehicles are a serious blast now. Heard great things about the heli handling too. With the test range maybe I'll learn to fly this time around even.

Ya did that already. Even tried 3 different browsers. Just uninstalled and downloaded the game again, same thing. Checked the plugin too. Not sure what more I can do here.

Running the manual pb update seemed to solve my issues. It actually did have some stuff to update.

I played the big vehicle 10+ (?) control point map once and yeah, it will probably be the 24/7 vehicle spam map of choice, but I did find myself laughing uncontrollably with all the road kills in the dune buggy and AT mine kills.

Can't wait to find a server with a good map rotation and maybe extra infantry HP or lower bullet damage. That's the true HC imo, not just who spams some bullets your way first, but who can really aim with accuracy.

I was number one in the round and we were winning until I desided to protect E on Parecel Storm. Then it all went to shit. They lost all the bases and ticket went down plus I got wiped out numerous times trying to blow up gun boats. Live and learn. Should of paid attention to the idiots not capping flags. By the way not the round I was in with TUPers. I was a lonesome dove. That map is nuts. Love it. At first it is easy sleazy, but once the storm hits it is crazy.

Its definitely good. I definitely thought it was predictable too. I have 2 more missions left. I prefer Pac over Irish. Irish is just an overly up tight dense mother fucker.

But BF4 eats video memory like mad.

I played one mission and then made the mistake of going to MP. Forgot all about it. You moe Foes are gonna love it. I ain't stabbed one person yet though. Got in a knife fight and lost though. He must of been a Mexican :eek:

Once you get the 30mm gun on the boat, you will destroy everything. The 25mm is so weak compared even though you only get half the ammo with the 30mm (15 vs 30). Went 20-0 before being killed on that hotel map. Combine that with the AA missiles and nothing will get close to you.

The lag is absolutely killing the game though. It's retarded how much the game lags not to mention a couple maps that do nothing but lag the entire round.

I have had zero lag. I have no complaint on how well it is running. Every time I got killed I either ran into a gun or mech's got me. I am extremely happy. BF3 was not nearly as easy on me when I first started. Kind of funny I have been putting all my time and resources into my new wheels and though oh well this obsession will take over my gaming. WRONG ! I just have more obsessions

Lag seems to be a server provider issue.. bounce around a bit until you find a stable one and check the server provider and stick to those.
