I never expected this. Definitely going to buy this in the near future. Sega priced this appropriately as well, compared to what Square did with their old Final Fantasy games.

I remember playing it for PS3 but it played really poorly, might have to pick it up to play it properly.

Did you play it even after all patches was released? I didn't have any problems with the framerate, be tough to see Nintendo allowing Sega to release Bayonetta 2 and many people seem to want a 3rd title exclusive to Switch aswell.

They can always add a name like Bayonetta 2 Special Edition and still come out on pc.

That's nothing. Galaga, which is a small kb rom is now a 1 gigabyte folder. Same with Dig Dug and Pac Man.
