Title pretty much says it. I have been out of computers for about a year, and needed a quick summary of what I missed. I have free time and money again, so I am back into these money pits

. My specs are as of a few hours ago. So, what major news etc did I miss?

The new Sandforce controller is giving way to 2nd generation SSDs with crazy speeds.

Coupled with what erocker said, there's not much else that's new in the world of PC tech.

For that pricing, yes. The only cooler I advise for that money is the Hyper 212, but I usually follow it with get new fans for it

blew some parts in the front end so its going SAS and i am regearing to 4.88s nothing to bad will have it back next week. oddly enough driving a 99 crapalier right now. dont want to jinx 1-4 thats all the poor little auto has

just got the POS 2200efi in mine no power in comparo to the sunflower with the 2.2L ecotec. wifes car so it does ok for free lol

It was AMD/ATi after the merger, but they ended the name ATi recently. I remember seeing it, was pretty disappointed:shadedshu
