What are your favorit benchmarks?

in my opinion the 3d marks arent good for tests, aq3 isnt good because too old,
so my graphic test is atm oblivion with everything turnend on and a prog like fraps witch gives me afterwards the fps.

3DMark05 is prolly my fav because it really pushes the system although 06 really really pushes it.

3d Mark05 is good to push the graphics card to the max. 3D Mark01SE is good to push the CPU to the max. They are the standards today. 3D Mark06 is crap because it is full of bugs and is just useless all around. Check out X3: Reunion demo (last one down)

It is like Aquamark3 but updated and really pushes things nicely. Plus it is programmable to test actual game settings. I still run Aquamark3 as it is still somewhat usable, but for the latest hardware it is very buggy.

I use the FEAR graphics test and 3dmark05. i havent installed 06 because theres no use for it, since i have no SM3.0

From the 3dmark collection, i like 3dmark05 the best, 06 focuses on the CPU more so if you have duel core you get a better score in 06.

06 doesnt focus more on CPU, it focuss more on the HDR and SM parts of your vid card thats why most ppls scores are half of their 05 score. My 05 score is 6500 but my 06 is 2300.

I get about 2100 on 3DMark06, X800 XL.
5750 in 05.

I just ran 3DMARK06 on my rig and got a score of 4427 but my CPU portion of the score was only 883?????

A score of 4427 in 06 is very good. No cpu scores high on 06. I have a dual core and even highly overclocked it only scores 2100

yeah that's because the cpu tests are capped at 2fps
