Bent CPU pin

So I found that my FX6300 was bent.. tried to straighten it out with needles but stopped cause i didnt want to break it..

Now its still kinda bent but fits on the socket.. will it work? or do I really have to make it straight?

It should work fine but if you ever have to get it out of the socket be careful.

Mechanical pencil works best but yes the cpu will still work

Chances are, putting it in the socket and locking it down will straighten it out almost the rest of the way.

If you really want to straighten it out use a mechanical pencil *pentel* and stick the pencil tip over the pin to the bottom and bend it back.

It's a little trick I've used a number of times with great success.

Definitely the best method, especially since it's only one pin. Helped me save my old Pentium 4 back in the day

This! I used a pocket knife to fix my CPU pins before. Worked like a charm.

if its working don't MESS with it because that`s when you break pins you already stressed the metal any further messing with it is a RECIPE for a broken pin

This....
Just don't force the angle...could bend more pins...if you have trouble use a sewing needle first at the sharp end and then the threading end just enough to get it with the mechanical pencil...then take a credit card to completely align the pin(s)
