Here's the one I have. I really am amazed at how it is.

Another good one is the LG 24". There is a lot of people on TPU that have that monitor.

Avoid TN panels, they suck big time.

just curious but what sucks about them? ghosting? common to have dead/stuck pixels? poor display quality? as there are several reviews on newegg with the Samsung monitors and all their 24" seem to use a TFT/TN panel and they are all 5eggs, i thk maybe 1 is a 4 egg.

Meh not need unless you have a really good gpu and cpu what are you specs really you don't need even 1920x 1200 if you don't have a great machine it would be overkill

Avoid TN panels, they suck big time.

not all . . . it's all down to the build quality of the display.

Sure, TN panels don't always measure up, but, there are superb monitors out there that make being able to tell the difference very difficult.

Besides, it's mainly down to personal preference as well . . . sure, most TN panels are either over-bright or over saturated, don't have as wide of a viewing angle, have a slow response time . . . but there are some that have superb color balance, quick response time, and a respectable viewing angle.

As it stands, who really needs a a large viewing angle? The majority of us site practically in-front of the display anyhow . . .

I personally recommend anyone shopping for a new display, though, to spend some time at local stores seeing some in person . . .

Looking for the best 24'' Monitor with a 1920x1200 resolution, in the $350 price range.

Considering the Samsung above. Really love Samsung products.

Thoughts?

Samsung are great panels. I personally use a T240, which is, IMHO, one of the better 24" TN panels available. It has superb color balance and excellent contrast . . . excellent response as well (I've never noticed any ghosting with this display).

Dont think so. It's built into the bezel, when it refracts the light it comes off as a red color. Nice touch personally.

does it still have one of 1920x1XXX resolutions as an option? and does your native resolution come up in games?
