I've said this already dozens of times elsewhere, I simply want a 4K60 screen as I actually don't play THAT much and there's no way to change my mind. I can get a meme refresh screen as a secondary later on.
Same here....+ also don't see the point for 144Hz Monitor on higher res. IF I don't have some New&Ultra Expensive GPU...also I prefer to have locked 60FPs with constant frame time on Freesync/Gsync instead of higher refresh rate but Frames that are all over the place with inconsistence frametime.......

You're either looking at that Nitro or the LG / Xiaomi ones. The rest are all way too expensive. The Nitro is the best one out of the three, but you seem stuck in your own fandango regarding thinking 19ms input lag is "high". I dealt with a 49 inch TV that had 80 ms input lag. That is high, not 19. If 19ms was so bad, nobody would have praised that $1000 LG monitor.

The IIyama and the Nitro are pretty much the same monitor, and 20ms is not even high. The Rtings review said the panel was good in that regard.

I don't think so, a basic 32" 4k monitor is something like a Samsung U32J590UQU

Within my budget i can get something like a Benq EW3270U and the ue, MSI Optix MAG321CURV, Viewsonic VX3276-4K-MHD,LG 32UN650-W

I don't consider them as basic 32" 4k monitors

Hi all, this is exactely the monitor I use and I don't see where it is a basic one. Because of the 60Hz?? Basic is more no name for me. Regards

Not G34WQC Sub-par viewing angles problems, if i want a curved 24" 1080 165hz monitor fra gigabyte it's not possible

I do want to have more resolution because i always split my 27" into 2 parts and often have links in chrome i can't see do to resolution limits (1280x1440)

I also want a bigger main monitor, how about this instead ? (easier to drive in games than 3440x1440 144hz)

AOC CQ32G2SE https://www.eteknix.com/aoc-cq32g2se-gaming-monitor-review/ only problem i see is no height adjustment, i found a cheap stand so it's not a problem
AOC GAMING C24G2U/BK if i need a 165hz and curved24" monitor (if your ocd about 24" 144hz non curved and 32" 165hz curved)

https://eu.aoc.com/en/gaming-monitors/cq32g2se-bk

24" (most are just a bit under 24") 1920x1080 has not just about the same but excatly the same dpi as a 32" 2560x1440 monitor 91.67 PPI

I couldn't get a rx 6800 xt the only card i was lucky to get was the top of the line red devil rx 6700 xt from power color

Had been using gtx 1070-1080 power full cards (gtx 1070-1080,rtx 2060 and rx 5600xt) for a few years i took the chance getting a 6700 xt, lucky to get one in the low 60's when gaming,no noise and no coilwhine, performance is just above rtx 2080 super and under 2080 ti or around 3060 ti

Yes i hve 2 monitors my specs are updated.

I like watching tv, tidal, youtube, movies and twitch in full screen on my 24" 1080 144hz, i also wrote somewhere i could if i want to play demanding games, play it on my 25" monitor, games like need for speed hot persuite (bought very cheap and soo much fun, pure speed, nothing else) and the crew 2 is limited to 60fps so i have a little experience with low fps games, when i had a gtx 1660 super i could only get 60-70 mabye 80 fps in dirt 5 medium settings and it was smooth

Yeah so in short not fast enough for proper 4K/UHD gaming.

6700XT is massively slower than 6800 non-XT for 4K gaming, much less cores, less vram and less bandwidth

6800 and up are meant for 4K gaming.
6700XT is for 1440p like 3060 Ti and 3070.

YES they can handle some games in 4K but most newer AAA games won't run well unless DLSS is used which 6700XT don't have

I don't understand why you buy a cheap 4K monitor and a cheap GPU that can't handle 4K. You will need a upgrade very soon to keep up

I didn't buy a cheap 4k monitor, decided i don't want a 27" 4k 144hz monitor and 32" 4k 60hz is not enough hz

I bought a expensive rx 6700 xt , if a rx 6700 xt where priced normal and you could get what ever you want within 1-2 day i could have gotten a more expensive monitor (or gpu), i already have a cheap monitor but don't think i would have been happier if it was a different monitor that was 50% more expensive

I have for some years have max performance of a gtx 1080,rtx 2060,gtx 1660 super and rx 5600 xt, i was lucky to get a rx 6700 xt (my monitors support freesync) now i can run either at higher fps samme settings, higher setting or both, higher setting and more fps than my last gpu gtx 1660 super

3440x1440 144hz would be something between 2560x1440 144hz and 3840x2160 60hz but feelt to many reviews had cons on every monitor i couldn't live with (the danger of reading reviews to find the best..).

Having performance above rtx 2080 super (under 2080 ti) compared to what i have used in the past and what games i still play like project cars 2 (around 200 fps in 2560x1440) i could upgrade my monitor to take advantage of having alot more gpu power, min is 100% more fps in every game compared to my last gpu gtx 1660 super.

Couldn't find any 3440x1440 i wanted, 32" 4k 60 not enough hz and 32" 4k 144hz is gonna be as expensive as 4x 24" 1080 144hz gaming monitors or more.

Look at the DPI calculator, 24" 1920x1080 has the same DPI as a 32" 2560x1440 monitor

I do want a min 32" monitor max 34" so i did a compromise, my 2 current monitors are non curved, i bought a curved 32" 165 hz monitor and if i get some kind of ocd having 24" non curved 144h vs 32" curved 165hz im gonna buy a 24" curved 165hz monitor, 2560x1440 165hz is also easier to achive than 3440x1440 144hz + 32" 16:9 is bigger than a 34" 21:9 monitor

if i can sell my monitors i won't have to spend more than a few 100 euros to upgrade (under 250 euros)

Viewing angle is absolutely not an issue on this G34WQC I'm sitting in front of. Compared to an IPS, of course, VA viewing is not as uniform at strong angle. But the curvature kinda removes it as a drawback if you're using the monitor sitting in front of it. I can move my head freely in front of the monitor without noticing any sort of tone/uniformity shift. Its only when I lean extremely to one side that you can see it. But its really slight. All you get from that is lose a tiny bit of brightness towards the corner. No colors get warped like older VAs do.

Question is if thát is an issue to skip this monitor which, on all other boxes, ticks them. I've looked around for a long time before landing on this one. Like yourself... I don't give a rats ass about HDR, or lots of ways to tilt or move the monitor. Just give me the panel with no frills and decent quality. And it has that at a very competitive price. You won't find one better at 450 bucks at this res and refresh currently. You can pay more for LG IPS though and it'll be more consistent at an angle, but you get IPS glow in return plus lower contrast.

That's really the choice you're looking at. Move your budget to 550-650 and you can get similar quality IPS with better viewing angle. But again - I had an Eizo FG2421 1080p flat panel before this one, and it had far worse viewing angles being only a 23,8 inch panel... go figure.

As for gaming performance and all that. I'm still getting a very good experience out of this GTX 1080, playing games at high settings everything lands over 60 FPS and the high refresh fixes the rest. Its smooth. I also wouldn't jump on 4K. Its a shitload of pixels and its going to push you into expensive GPU territory. As for DPI - 24 inch @ 1080p is a rather low bar and you will often use AA methods to remove jaggies. But if you nudge that up a little bit to what is similar to 27 inch @ 1440p, you can often just drop the AA and unsee the jaggies due to viewing distance.

Its important to keep in mind there are no perfect monitors. Simply don't exist. LCD tech is inferior and every monitor is just tweaked differently to emphasize certain qualities.

31,5 inch VA looks good but this one will have an equal or bigger viewing angle issue than the G34WQC. But, in much the same vein, that is only problematic if you want to share the monitor and use it together. Realistically, the only differences are that you lose pixels and side-by-side 2 page viewing at full resolution; and that the curvature is less pronounced. At the same price I'd jump on ultrawide because its simply more real estate / $. The height is identical to 27 inchers.

And if you need perf, you can always just render at 2560x1440 and accept a black border at the sides. Still native ;) And because its VA, the black is good enough to unsee as well.

An important drawback of the AOC is 165hz native is absolutely shite for vsync and half rate sync. Higher isn't better here.

Im not gonna game on 1080, im gonna play on 1440 (2560x1440).

The problem is if i want to buy a curved 24" 1080 165hz monitor, gigabyte doesn't make one, synergy in the same design, curve, picture quality, features would be nice, therefor i want 2 monitors from the same brand

I have had one curved 32" monitor (msi), both aoc monitors would only cost me 10% more than a G34WQC, i could get 2 monitors (one being noticeable bigger) + curved + 165hz for not alot of money, for normal gaming some games benefit from more resolution and others games are fine in only 2560x1440, mabye som games can get an advantage of 165hz instead of 144hz

Aoc also has good zero dead pixel policy, i just don't know if also applies to Europe,Denmark

Do yourself a favour and don't touch AOC, they make garbage.
I had one of their 4K monitors and I had nothing but issues with it, ranging from a glitchy power supply to various random artefacts and the speakers going on full volume squeals randomly. Sent it back for a "firmware update" that fixed nothing. Took me a lot of hassle to get a refund.
Mate of mine had the same monitor in a different country and had the same issue.
Not a company I would buy from again.

Neither did I, they would just turn on and squeal at full volume on their own at random.
Only way to turn it off was to pull the power plug.

Just disable the sound driver driver for the monitor so the only thing that is enable is your soundcard/dac

You don't seem to understand the problem. But you're of course right, it's such a simple problem to solve :kookoo:
The whole monitor was glitching, for both me and my mate. There was so many issues with this model that AOC is on my shit list forever.

If the sound to the monitor was disabled there wouldn't be any sound going to the monitor, right

I think all brands could have som problems even the same model there could be alot that works fine and other models are faulty

Did you even read my first post?
The power supply would cut out and the only way to power on the display was to pull out the power cable and leave it unplugged for 10-30 seconds, the screen would go garbled at times and the audio would screech, all this happened at random, outside of my control. This is why it went back for a firmware update that didn't solve the problem.
But no, you know best, disabling something that wasn't being used would've fixed all those issues

Yes, all brands can have some issues, but when two people in different parts of the world are having exactly the same issues, then you know something is going on from the manufacturers side.
