I wouldn't get the rat 9 cause I think the wireless is dodgy on it, and in general I hate dealing with charging that stuff.

I have not had a single disconnect on it since I bought it in January, If you leave the mouse on all the time and use it for 12+ hours a day you will need to swap them at least once a day though.

I would say, if you don't like the RAT 9s price and you dont like wireless though, get the RAT 7, I believe they have the same customizations.

The biggest mouse I have is a trackball. Not really fair, since a trackball puck can easily be a whole keyboard. I recommend a trackman from logitech, with a spacepilot pro for cad.

The RAT 7 was ok, but I didn't like the feel as much as the ikari/naos. I'm not sure how much the logitech votes count. I think people who stick to that brand haven't played the field as much as the people that are recommending other brands.

Not sure what the difference is, but I've been using a Logitech G5 (not G500) for approximately 3 years now, and I am totally inlove with it, but I think they took it off production, in any case theres probably used ones floating about.

MX518 in your price range is awesome.

Agreed. You can get them at your local Target for MUCH less than even amazon has em for. On my second one now, got the SE (red) version this time. First one lasted 5 years before connection issues but it still works as a backup.

Fantastic product IMO.

I've loved my RAT 5 more than I can explain, the RAT 7 is very nice but I'm fine with the 5 which is also significantly cheaper (especially since i plan on buying another one haha).
The really nice thing though is the "precision" button that will temporarily drop the DPI to whatever percentage you want of the current setting, but only while you hold it so you don't have to flip right back when using it like the normal DPI buttons (great for sniping, digital art, and a bunch of other things)
