For a bit less than $250, you could do a lot worse than a factory-overclocked GTX560Ti

If you go the used route you can pick up a great card- I've seen GTX580s that low.

What will you be using it for, what kind of gaming? What is the rest of your rig like? There are other factors to make sure you keep your rig well balanced. Just because you have the money doesn't mean you have to spend all of it.

Also, both nVidia and AMD are good companies. I recommend ignoring anyone who swears by one or the other and come to your own conclusion which you like better because I've had the opposite experience as Bunchies here. I've had my best luck with ATi/AMD video cards and not so much with nVidia, however I wouldn't say to not buy one or the other.

1Gb of ram will still work but depending on what you're doing, it may not be enough. I like mine though, runs great in crossfire imho.

I agree. If you don't mind going the used route, one can pick up more card for less money. I bought a used Sapphire 6970 last year, like new, for 275. There are many great deals if you want to spend a bit of time looking around places like ebay.

But whether you go new/used, factor in things like the screen resolution/monitor size and the power supply you are using.

Wait and see what nVidia brings to the table with the 660 Ti.
Specualtion on the pricing has already been released and would be the one to go for in terms of price vs performance.

Very strange in terms of what nVidia has been pricing their cards at recently compared to AMDs offerings.
Either way I'm not complaining.
