i prefer PC

simple due to emulation and PC games i have the largest game library on 1 system

NES SNES, PSX, PS2, N64 among others then of course all the regular PC games, that and i prefer the amount of control i have with PC something consoles dont give me,

Troll topic, each platform has its own strengths and weakness. For me, I have always been a PC gamer. Depending on how much money you have and your needs, its best to get 2.

For example: I use my laptop a lot, and I don't watch TV, so the best combo for me is PC + PSP/smartphone, one for mobile use, the other for more serious sit down 10-hr gaming session. On the other hand, my friend uses his TV a lot, so he went server + budget laptop + PS3 + smartphone. For people with grandma at home, Wii + PC is good.

Clearly the best gaming platform is a flat surface made of wood or cardboard.

This is a subject with no definitive answer. Feel free to discuss, but if it gets out of hand in any way this thread will be shut down and infractions will be given. Tread lightly.

If you ask me the PC is the best of any gaming platform . As the PC has evolved it has better products , I can't even begin to list them all but while we PC users get DX10 and DX11 games consoles are not going to enjoy this benefit as they are well for the most part non-upgradeable . A PC however can be upgraded to the latest best new thing . I prefer PC over consoles for this one factor . consoles have the most games for sure as it is far faster and cheaper to keep pumping out games on the same platform than having to supply the PC with ever changing code and hardware with games . But we do get the first best taste of the new games when they do manage to pump out one for DX11 and Eyefinity and multi core support and on and on . This is how I see things any way .

Agreed. This is an obvious troll job because it is a question that can't be answered. EVER!

It depends on what kind of games you look forward to playing and what you want out of your gaming console.

PS3 is a good all rounder in my opinion. If you like the games it offers and don't mind losing the Xbox 360 exclusives and the occasionally slightly worse off graphics in some games then its an excellent choice.

Its exclusives are phenomenal graphics wise and gameplay wise. Examples include God of war III and Uncharted 2 and the upcoming Uncharted 3.

You get blue ray, the Move (Wii like capabilities), you can hack it these days if that means anything to you and PSN is still Free although they offer PSN Plus for a price.

Thats my input on the PS3 im sure there are just as many positives to be said for the Xbox but I've never owned one so I don't know them.

PC would obviously be at the top of my list ( if you can afford a decent to good one).
And this doesn't have to be a troll topic... He calmly asked a question that can be answered. If yall want to be all troll about it then go ahead and troll. He set troll bait and all the trolls started trolling.

NOT I! :)

Agree with many folks above. It really depends. Also, asking on a forum dedicated to a PC (primarily Windows-based) community to choose between PCs and other platforms is a bit like showing up at a Catholic Church and asking opinions on the Pope.

For the record, I believe PC's are the most versatile but I wouldn't dock systems like the Xbox 360 (with Kinect) or Wii for their relative simplicity and innovative take on gaming.

He just needs a long list of compares and contrasts for each Console and then he can weigh out the pros and cons himself.

That would be how to answer this question.

The only two games I truly enjoy are sadly on two different platforms.....

1. Football.

2. The Fornication game.

Edit: #2 has the best graphics EVER!

I love my Wii ! It is interactive and that is the best part of if IMHO. you can get a good workout with it for sure and makes you feel like you are part of the game not just tapping keys or button pushing . there are so many aspects of gaming today it can be hard to choose yes . For me it is PC first Wii second .

since people seem to say xbox kinect is awesome then hopefully they know that you can hook the kinect to PC and use it just the same with hacked drivers

There is no best platform there is only the best game on proper platform ;)

Ex: Some Wii/Ds games can only be played and preferred on those devices, while others cannot be play anywhere except PC.

I've always liked the Super Megason

Seriously, if the TS is a MotoGP fan, the 360 is ideal for him because it has loads of those on it LOL

If you're a MotoGP fan, then grab a 360 or PS3. Neither are future proof.....no console is. But they will still have a steady flow of new titles for at least the next 4-5 years.

All of them have their own strengths, the PS3 play Blurays, is a good Media server, and now has a very strong list of exclusives. The 360 has a larger online community. And the Wii is a bit more of a casual system with a different type of games that you can play with people who might not necessarily be into games.

As far as comparing handhelds and classic systems, going to be hard to do vs new systems.
