3200/14 B die from team group is excellent, there's a dark pro kit with the best factory subtimings of any 3200/14.

If you want the absolute best get the 3600/14 trident z neo from Gskill.

Yeah I'd say the TG Dark Pro 3200 Ram is quite good, I'm running 4x8gb sticks and just had to loosen a few sub-timings from running 2 sticks using a very aggressive memory profile. (No change needed if just running stock)

Just take note they change their default XMP timings quite a bit between batches, but overall seem to bin good quality silicon for this series at good prices for b-die.

it would seem based on reading this thread that Team Group and Gskill are the top recommendations, which I totally agree with. Especially since you can get some decently priced RAM from both of them.

Get the cheapest compatible (QVL) 3000~3200C15/C16 kit and call it a day. Always search brand agnostic and then narrow it down based on what's available locally. No need to scour the planet for the perfect sticks unless you're in some OC competition.

I have an RMA in at the moment with Corsair.

Right from beginning I was having problems with them hitting their rated speed.
On auto / SPD they wouldn't post, got them to 1500mhz (3000) using manual settings.
But they started causing system lock ups until one of UDIMMs failed completely.

Replaced them with Crucial Ballistix Sport LT and they ran @ 1600mhz via SPD out of the box, no issues at all.

Cool, thanks for the info. Do you know what ICs were on those? This was on Ryzen or intel?

I've quite liked the ballistix sport LTs so far; they are quite cheap, from what I can tell AES 3000/3200 kits are always rev E, and they are really easy to work with. I'm not very satisfied with how tight the (secondary) timings go, but definitely as a value for money (and no fuss) option they are pretty good.

I've found it helps when trying to smooth out minimum framerates... If you are just going to set XMP and forget though, I agree, there's not really going to be much difference between some 3200c14 b-die kit and a 3200c16 slot machine IC because the board is basically always going to set everything other than the primaries similarly.

No I'm not sure what the ICs were (Hynix possibly?).

Originally purchased them with the intention of putting them in my new AMD 3900X build.
But changed my mind and stuck them in my older Intel 6700K gaming rig instead.
(Stuck 4x8Gb TG Dark Pro Red's in the AMD 3900X build instead which are running at 3200 C14).

v5 corsair DDR4 is hynix, first digit after the decimal indicates capacity (3 for 8Gbit), last generally indicates what IC. 5.32 is supposedly CJR but that source has also been wrong about a number of other corsair hynix sticks, and I'd be rather surprised if CJR didn't run easily...
