TBH, it's for a friends PC. He currently has an HD5770. He has been offered £70 for his current card and could possibly put and extra £100 towards a new card. So, maybe he shouldm go for an HD6870 @ £170....what do you think?

i was offered an asus volt tweak 470 (reference board) with no box just cables etc for £120 including shipping
which is a good price,
but 8 months ago i had a card die on me and galaxy refused the rma because i grey imported it,i am not sure i would recommend the deal.

wow. what a load of BS. I would have been in a rage. reguardless if it is imported or not. the card is still made by them and if the card is still within warranty, it is their duty to repair it if it is faulty. you got shafted pretty hard.

I was nothing short of livid,and i dont give up easy either,i kept on at them for best part of 6 months.
Oddly enough each time i rung up galaxy i got the same guy in the rma department,think i ended up knowing more about him than his friends did!
But i did learn an expensive lesson though,pay a little more for piece of mind.
So i bought the next two 470s from scan and both turned out to be different to what i ordered LOL,
I couldn't send them back because theres nothing wrong with them,but i wanted reference models so i could use full cover blocks then overclock the arse out of them.
*MM hobbles away with his inflatable "got shafted" seat*

you could have asked a TPU member from the US to file for RMA for you. but to make it work, youd need to send the card to him so he can send it off. but it is gonna cost you to send the card to the US and to get it back
