Upgrade time is near! I've spotted a GPU on Newegg that I'm ready to buy but... let's see what my fellow TPU'ers have! I'll keep this thread active for 2 days, that's my last day of work and school this summer so after that I can devote my time to my lovely hunk of metal.
As title; PM me what you have for sale and your price. I read all private messages I get so if I don't reply don't sweat it I'm probably just waiting to see other offers.

$120 is £72, so.. in the UK you could manage a 2nd hand 4870 512mb. I'd aim for that or the 4850.

With $120 you should at least get a GTS250 or HD4850 as a minmum.

my 4870 is very hardcore, can play fallout3 max settings, 1920x1200. I recommend this GPU or wait until dx11 comes out. Even the lower end dx11 cards will beat out current mid-range cards.

If you can manage out 127.99 dollars. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131140 That Power color HD 4870 is just fine. I have it in crossfirex with a Saphire HD 4870 1gb right now. You Cant control the fan because its a 3 pin, but its very quiet and never gets about 70c. I benched it on my core 2 duo rig got 55 fps in crysis average(took me 30 minutes to get from 46-47 fps average :D) with 780Mhz and 975Mhz on the ram. Ram heatsinks are nice and copper, acctualy a little bigger then the saphires heatsinks and overall its a good card.

Yeah but AMD just released the official release date for DX11 cards, I'm sure prices on the DX10/10.1 cards will drop a good amount by then. ^_^ My AM3 parts should be here in a few days time!

Edit: I hope that my Callisto 545 can unlock...!!!

doubtful, the HD 48 series occupy $200 or less. with the HD 5870 release with no competition from nvidia it'll likely stay in the $275+ range for a while leaving HD 48 series to keep their respectable price ranges.

As for that powercolor, i give the recommendation a +1. i literally bought that card and got it 6 days ago. Great card, my temps are 40idle, 56 load with 39% fan which is barely audible btw. overclock i got to 821/975 stable. memory was at 1003, which was stable with 15min of GPUtool stress, but i did one for 30min and it failed at like 26min or something. Great performance for the dollor, only game i can't max is Stalker Clear Sky.

shit paper launches wont die till actually releases die, which is never. Paper launches are always good for hype and attention. You see even computer case and motherboard paper launches all the time.
