Best m.2 SSD (2 or 3tb) for the money?

Hi, I've been out of the loop for a little bit when it comes to m.2 SSDs. I currently have an "ultra" m.2 ssd 1tb.
It's starting to get full and although I could install my games on a normal HDD, I prefer running them on the m.2

So I'm thinking of upgrading it to a bigger sized one. Any recommendations?
Criteria is mainly best bang per buck 2tb or 3tb size.

really? maybe I came asking here because some things can't be found on "pcpartpicker"
If I had relied only on pcpartpicker to determine "what to buy" in the past, I don't think I would have made some of the wiser choices I made thanks to you guys.
Fact is: There are a lot of reviewers, system builders and frankly, people who are much more experienced than I am on this forum...

Of course I can do the research myself and waste 1 or 2 hours of my time or I can consult those who already know what the wisest choice might be. "with many advisers, plans succeed"
Why is it somehow reprehensible to ask for advice on tech forum of all places? Have I interrupted some 5 mythical seconds of your existence by merely asking for advice?

here's some more info I should have given in the original post:

• mobo Im using: https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z390 Phantom Gaming 4/index.asp
  • apparently, if I understood correctly my mobo supports 2x ULTRA m.2s
  • If possible I'd like to have a 2nd m.2 rather than a single "bigger one" because that would mean I wouldn't have to a complete windows 10 install plus drivers and whatnot. if not I'll do the clean install if needed.
• budget: (flexible) I'd say between 250$ CAD to 600$ CAD or 700$-800$ if it gives more storage for the money
• I live in Canada/QC I shop at different stores, usually online. canadacomputers being one of them, sometimes newegg, amazon... etc...
• will use the m.2 mainly for gaming and video editing/converting/uploading. I prefer getting more storage than having to always determine which game(s) I need to uninstall to make room for the new one

Corsair Force mp600, Sabrent Rocket 2TB, Toshiba XG6 are a few to consider, but you're best to whittle it down to a few key choices based on reviews/budget etc as there will likely be a small amount of users here who have a 2tb+ nvme who can advise let alone having experience with more than one I would assume anyway

Adata SX 8200 PRO or the HP EX 950 are good choices as you're limited to pci-e 3.0 for storage and those drives are very cheap for 2TB

Could see if you're able to wait for bigger drives to come out since 2TB seems to be the standard NVME cap.

Also I said what I said since cheaper is typically what people go for and reviews make or break things.

I think you should wait about a couple month till around Black Friday or the week after Xmas and you will get a bang for your buck as M2 nvme PCI-E gen 4 ssd are coming out in droves now and PCI-E 3 gen are gonna be cheaper a lot cheaper...i believe there are only even number in sizes above 2 tb

Since it's going to be mainly game drive, have you considered to just get SATA SSD? The difference in level loading time between the fastest NVMe and slowest SATA is still in the range of 0-3s (see screenshots below and here is an example youtube comparison). The price / Gb sweetspot atm is 1TB I believe, so if I were you I would just get a 1TB 2.5" TLC SATA drive now and get another down the line when you need more space.

Sabrent drives seem to be great VFM these days, also you haven't told your preference of SATA or NVMe drives? Assuming it's the latter there's a ton of choices, though generally more expensive than the former. SATA drives are much cheaper & are pretty much the same with little difference between them, the SATA 3 limit gives the manufacturers little room to differentiate.
